Malaysia Airlines Enters Charter Agreement With Apple Vacations to Operate Flights to Hokkaido
Kuala Lumpur, 15 May 2019: Malaysia Airlines today signed an agreement with Apple Vacations & Conventions Sdn Bhd to provide charter flights from Kuala Lumpur to Hokkaido, Japan. The agreement will see the airline mounting six charter flights direct from KL International Airport (KUL) to New Chitose Airport (CTS).
The charters begin on 5 December until 29 December 2019.
The agreement was signed on behalf of Malaysia Airlines by Hazman Hilmi Sallahuddin, a member of the senior management team of Malaysia Airlines and Apple Vacations Group Executive Chairman, Dato’ Sri Lee Ee Hoe at Wisma Apple, Kuala Lumpur. The signing was witnessed by Yazid Mohamed, Head of Commercial Charter Business Unit of Malaysia Airlines and Dato’ Sri Koh Yock Heng, Group Managing Director of Apple Vacations.
Malaysia Airlines Group Chief Executive Officer Izham Ismail said, “Apple Vacations is one of the top agents in Malaysia and also one of our appointed travel agents. We have a long relationship with Apple Vacations and it is fitting that we come in as partners to provide charter flights. These chartered flights will be serviced by one of our Airbus A330-300 aircraft to operate six flights to Chitose in December 2019. We look forward to expand our charter services into Japan and offer more passengers to experience our unparalleled service of Malaysian Hospitality."
