Malaysia Airlines Introduces Special Dishes to celebrate Chinese New Year at KLIA’s Golden Lounges

Sepang, 4 February 2016: Malaysia Airlines will be ushering in the Lunar Year with special Chinese New Year delicacies at Malaysia Airlines’ Golden Lounges, KL International Airport (KLIA). 

Passengers travelling on First Class, as well as Enrich Platinum members who dine at the First Class Dining Room at the Golden Lounge (Satellite), will be able to enjoy a Prosperity ‘Yee Sang’ Style Salad and a main course of Braised Supreme of Duck with Orange Sauce fragranced with Star Anise. Pineapple Tarts will also be served. These dishes will be available starting from today and throughout the festive season on 14th February 2016.

In the Business section of the Golden Lounge (Satellite, Regional and Domestic), we will be serving a selection of Dim Sum, Yee Sang Salad and Pineapple Tarts on the 7th, 8th and 9th of February 2016.

According to Malaysia Airlines’ Chief Commercial Officer, Paul Simmons, “Our festive menu reflects Malaysia’s melting pot of cultures. We are delighted to be introducing these dishes for our guests as part of the Chinese New Year celebrations.”

As part of the festive season, Malaysia Airlines would like to remind passengers travelling during the Chinese New Year festivities to check-in via web at or MHmobile at as early as 48 hours to their departure time to enjoy the flexibility of selecting their preference seats.  

Alternatively, passengers can also use self check-in kiosks available at Kuala Lumpur International Airport and other domestic airports.  

As high passenger movement is expected during this holiday period, passengers are advised to arrive early at the airport for their baggage drop off process, security clearance and other formalities to ensure arriving at the gate within the boarding time.
