Three-Year Extension with Malaysian Football League Contract with JDT Extended Through 2026

KLIA, 9 September 2024 – Malaysia Airlines has renewed its strategic partnerships with Johor Darul Ta'zim Football Club (JDT) and the Malaysian Football League (MFL) as part of its continued commitment to supporting local sports and fostering national pride through football. The agreement was formalised recently between Dersenish Aresandiran, Chief Commercial Officer of Airlines from MAG , and representatives from the two prominent sports brands, JDT and MFL. The signing ceremony featured Kevin Ramalingam, Head of Commercial at JDTFC , and Mohd Shazli Shaik Mohd, Chief Operating Officer of MFL , with the event witnessed by Alistair Edwards, Chief Executive Officer of JDT Fan Club , and Dato’ Ab Ghani Hassan, President of MFL . This significant occasion took place on Saturday, 7 September, during the MATTA Fair at the MAG arena in the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) Kuala Lumpur. Ahmad Luqman Mohd Azmi, Chief Executive Officer of Airlines (MAG) , expressed his enthusiasm about the renewal: "We are very pleased to continue our partnerships with Johor Darul Ta'zim FC and the Malaysian Football League. This decision underscores our commitment to not only supporting local sports but also leveraging these alliances to enhance our brand's engagement with the community. Malaysia Airlines has extended its partnership with JDT for an additional two years, extending through to 2026.
