Malaysia Airlines Re-iterates Support for National Divers

The national carrier will be providing air travel for Pandelela and Dhabitah during trainings, events and leisure

KLIA, 16 November 2018: Malaysia Airlines yesterday organised an exclusive event for its staff with national divers and Malaysia Airlines brand ambassadors, Pandelela Rinong and Nur Dhabitah Sabri to reiterate its support for the divers’ air travel leading up to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Both Pandelela and Dhabitah have been Malaysia Airlines’ brand ambassadors since 2016 as part of a four-year sponsorship deal. Under the sponsorship, the airline sponsors the athletes’ travel on Malaysia Airlines’ Business Class within its network for trainings, events and leisure purposes.

Speaking at the event, Malaysia Airlines Chief Operations Officer, Ahmad Luqman Mohd Azmi said, “As the national airline, we are proud to sponsor these champions in the lead up to the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics. Their dedication and commitment to their sport is certainly an inspiration to us all. They will begin a series of trainings in China early 2019 and the national airline is honoured to be part of their exciting journey.”

10 lucky staff were given special autographed t-shirts by the divers and were treated to a special exercise session conducted by both Pandelela and Dhabitah at the event. The event was held at MAG Fit-Stop, Malaysia Airlines’ new gym located at its headquarters in Sepang. The gym which opened its doors in July 2018, is a place where Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) employees get to connect, workout and recharge.
