MAB Engineering Services Commemorates First Anniversary with the Launch of the Nation’s First Aircraft Maintenance Digital Certification

KLIA, 2 May 2024 – MAB Engineering Services, a pioneering leader in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services within the Malaysian aviation industry, proudly celebrated its first anniversary since operating as a wholly owned subsidiary under the Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) with the launch of a suite of initiatives, including the nation’s first aircraft maintenance digital certification which was officiated by Dato’ Zaiviji Ismail Abdullah, Chairman of MAB Engineering Services and Datuk Captain Izham Ismail, Group Managing Director of MAG. This milestone not only signifies a remarkable leap in efficiency and security for MRO activities but sets the foundation for the implementation of the Aircraft Electronic Tech Log system which will be adopted by airline subsidiaries Malaysia Airlines, Firefly and MASwings. The integration of digital signatures into MAB Engineering Services’ mobility solution enhances operational efficiency and reliability. This pioneering initiative empowers engineering personnel to authenticate their actions and approvals digitally, removing the need for manual signatures and paper-based documentation. Eke Nazri Rahim, Chief Operating Officer of MAB Engineering Services, said, "As part of MAB Engineering Services’ digitalisation initiative in support of MAG’s Long Term Business Plan 2.0 (LTBP 2.0), this project aims to enhance efficiency and accuracy in delivering our engineering and maintenance services.
