Removal of Vaccination Requirements for Passengers to Australia
Effective 6 July 2022, Australia has removed vaccination requirements for international travellers.
As a result, Malaysia Airlines will no longer require proof of vaccination from travellers travelling to Australia.
However, passengers with connecting flights to other destinations are strongly encouraged to check the vaccination requirements, as certain countries still require proof of vaccination.

Malaysia Airlines Implements ‘Pre-Departure Health Screening Programme’ for Passengers Travelling via Flight MH376 from Kuala Lumpur (KUL) to Guangzhou (CAN)
As part of our efforts to protect and ensure passenger safety, prevent further spread of the COVID-19 virus, and ensure seamless travel experiences for our passengers, Malaysia Airlines will be implementing a dedicated ‘Pre-Departure Health Screening Programme’ applicable to all passengers on flight MH376 departing from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN) effective 1 August 2022.
The Pre-Departure Health Screening Programme is an initiative implemented by the airline as an added layer of precaution in facilitating seamless travel to China and is compulsory for all Malaysia Airlines’ passengers departing to China from Kuala Lumpur.
All passengers travelling via flight MH376 will need to undergo a 5-days/4-nights, Pre-Departure Health Screening Programme’ at the designated hotel accommodation by the airline’s service provider and COVID-19 tests as regulated by the Chinese Embassy in the host country and Malaysia Airlines.
Health Requirements and Passenger Flow
Below are the 6-steps requirement under the Pre-Departure Health Screening Programme, which will take effect as early as five (5) days before the scheduled departure to China.
To ensure smooth processing and communications, the entire process within the Programme will be facilitated by a service provider in close collaboration with the airline.
Below is a sample scenario of a passenger scheduled to depart on 1 August 2022.

Important: Passengers who are detected positive for COVID-19 within the Programme duration will not be allowed to continue their travel.
Packages Offered
The Programme package starts from MYR 1,700 for 5-days, 4-night stay per passenger. The price is inclusive of but not limited to:
- Hotel accommodation
- Meals (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- COVID-19 test(s)
- Transfer services from hotel to KLIA
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) set
Dedicated Check-In Counters
Passengers travelling on flight MH376 will be escorted by the service provider and to proceed to the dedicated check-in counters located at Level 5, Departure Hall, KLIA.
