Notice on Smart and Ridable Baggage Acceptance Please note that effective 15 November 2024, Malaysia Airlines enforces specific restrictions on the transport of Smart Baggage and Smart Ridable Baggage. Smart Baggage and Smart Ridable Baggage are baggage that feature electronic components such as power banks, charging ports, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, or tracking chips, with advanced models including built-in scales, electric scooters, and robotic navigation systems with follow-me technology, allowing for hands-free movement. Passengers who wish to bring Smart Baggage and Smart Ridable Baggage as cabin baggage must observe the following policy. This policy ensures compliance with international aviation safety regulations and prevents boarding delays. Check the acceptance guidelines below to ensure your bags are cleared for travel before arriving at the airport.
