The all-new Boeing 737-8 is the latest addition to our fleet – an embodiment of our unwavering dedication to hospitality, comfort, and an overall exceptional experience for our guests on board our flights. Continuing generations of Malaysian Hospitality and a long-standing relationship with Boeing, we’re proud to bring in this new aircraft with you in mind.

Sustainable flying. Each flight taken on the 737-8 is more sustainable than our current NG, burning less fuel, creating a smaller noise footprint and more. Introducing all-new, fuel-efficient engines, this aircraft has a CO₂ emission reduction of 20%, effectively reducing annual emissions by the equivalent of 196,000 trees. The new advanced technology winglets go a long way towards reducing the aircraft’s fuel consumption. Increasing lift, reducing drag and with a more effective wingspan, these winglets alone increase fuel savings by 2%. The 737-8 also makes a 50% smaller community noise footprint, meeting latest noise and emissions standards. This means quieter flying, providing an all-around more comfortable flight for passengers in the cabin as well as less disturbance for the aircraft’s surroundings during take-off and landing.

A touch of home. Our batik motif is a trademark of our Malaysian culture and we have always worn it as a source of pride, flying it across the world. From our cabin crew uniforms and in-flight amenities, it is woven into our identity just as much as our hospitality. The new 737-8 is no exception, continuing to proudly showcase our pride for our Malaysian roots. The batik motif is subtly debossed throughout the cabin on the seat upholstery and on the curtains, in both Business and Economy Class. Our signature blue is showcased throughout as well, designed with serenity in mind.

Entertainment in comfort. The new 737-8 comes with MHstudio, our wireless in-flight entertainment. Accessible wherever you are on your own personal device, entertainment in the sky is now literally in your hands. Sit, lounge, listen and watch in your most comfortable positions and let time fly by on the way to your destination. With MHstudio, you not only have movies, podcasts, music, books and more at your fingertips, but you can also shop and have your brand-new purchases delivered to your seat. Long-standing connections. Since 1972, we have fostered a relationship with Boeing. Our very first Boeing 737-200 landed in Subang International Airport in 1972, and since then we have maintained a strong connection. The growth of our Boeing 737 aircraft fleet started there, growing along with our Malaysian Hospitality throughout the years, from the 737-200s all the way until the 737-800s, and now in 2023, the new 737-8. We ensure our offerings are for every generation, and with that we stay true to our timeless hospitality. With constant growth and new technology, we ensure every experience with us is memorable, and our guests leave our cabins with a smile.

Our 2-2 single-aisle seat configuration in this cabin class hosts a total of 12 comfortable seats, upholstered in Ultrafabric synthetic leather. Each seat has a pitch of 39 inches and a width of 20.4 inches. This includes ample room for a generous recline of 8 inches. For the ultimate comfort, each seat comes with a personal entertainment device holder, calf rest, 6-way adjustable headrest and cocktail table. Storage space includes a bottle holder and coat hook. To help keep your essential devices charged, our seats are equipped with individual AC power and USB type A and C outlets.

Our 3-3 single-aisle seat configuration in this cabin class hosts a total of 162 lightweight seats, upholstered in Ultrafabric synthetic leather. Each seat has a pitch of 30 inches and a width of 17.5 inches, with a 5-inch recline for comfort. For your entertainment needs, each seat comes with a personal entertainment device holder and a literature pocket. To help keep your essential devices charged, our seats are equipped with USB type A and C outlets.
