The Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore is now open!

 

From 29 November 2021, Malaysia Airlines can fly fully vaccinated travellers who have tested negative for COVID-19 for quarantine-free travel between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. With the implementation of the VTL, Malaysia Airlines will be mounting VTL flights 1x daily on the Airbus 330 from 29 November 2021 to 26 March 2022.​

 

Guests can enter without quarantine under the Vaccinated Travel Lane programme by the Government of Malaysia and Singapore, with the following requirements fulfilled:​​​

 

Entry Requirements to Singapore Under VTL Scheme​​

 

Eligible passengers must fulfil the travel requirement under the VTL scheme or be a Singapore national or residence holder.

 

Effective, 2 December 2021, all VTL passengers entering Singapore will be required to undergo a supervised self-swab Antigen Rapid Test (ART) at a Quick Test Centre on Days 3 and 7 of their arrival. Their day of arrival is counted as Day 1. More details on their exact test dates and booking links for the test appointment will be provided after arrival in Singapore.

 

Passengers are advised to check on their eligibility to fly before purchasing a ticket.

Effective 15 November 2021, passengers under the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) Malaysia-Singapore are required to upload the following documents in https://mysafetravel.gov.my before departing Singapore:

     

  • COVID-19 vaccination certificate
  •  

  • RT-PCR test results
  •  

  • Insurance policy

 

Passengers will receive a notification email from the MySafeTravel portal once the vaccination certificate, test results are successfully verified.

However, children under two (2) years of age and those who have been issued with a letter by a relevant Singapore government agency exempting them from the requirements for a pre-departure PCR test are not required to present a valid negative COVID-19 PCR test.

Passengers are also advised to have their documents ready before they arrive at KLIA for check-in to avoid a long waiting time at the counter for check-in procedures.

Entry Requirements to Malaysia Under VTL Scheme

Passengers are strongly recommended to upload a copy of the COVID-19 vaccination certificate, RT-PCR test results and insurance policy via https://mysafetravel.gov.my. Passengers will receive a notification email from the MySafeTravel portal once the vaccination certificate and test results are successfully verified.

 

Important Note:

     

  • Undergo COVID-19 test 48 hours prior to departure.
  •  

  • Arriving passengers will be required to undergo COVID-19 health screening at KLIA and it will take between 3 to 4 hours before passengers are cleared to collect their bags at the baggage carousel at KLIA.
  •  

  • Passengers are required to make online payment for their RT-PCR test in KLIA before departing Singapore. Kindly refer https://airport.doctor2u.my for info.
  •  

  • All travellers are advised to arrive four (4) hours early as only over-the-counter check-ins are available for VTL flights. Online check-in via the Malaysia Airlines website or app is unavailable for this selected flight.

VTL passengers from Singapore can connect on Malaysia Airlines services from Kuala Lumpur to selected domestic destinations in Peninsular Malaysia. Namely Alor Setar, Johor Bahru, Kuala Terengganu, Kuantan, Langkawi and Penang.
