Travel advisory/alerts – Find out about the latest travel updates on our Malaysia Airlines app or website.  ​

MySejahtera app – ​Download the MySejahtera app from Apple App Store or Google Play Store when travelling to and within Malaysia for health screening and contact tracing purposes.​

Web/mobile check-in – Check-in online prior to arriving at the airport terminal. Domestic passengers travelling with hand carry only, may proceed to security clearance and boarding lounge with a mobile boarding pass. ​

Kiosks and Check-in Counters – Self-service check-in kiosks are regularly wiped and sanitised. Counters manned by staff will feature protective barriers** that are disinfected regularly. ​

Social distancing – Floor markers provide guidance for maintaining a safe distance while queuing.  ​

Other services – Special assistance and medical services requested via our Call Centre will be administered in accordance with local health protocols. ​

Entry protocols –  Contactless temperature checks and registration will be performed before entry. ​

Hygiene standards – Lounge facilities, amenities and services provided by staff follows high safety standards as mandated by local health authorities.  ​

Social distancing – Floor and seat decals are added to promote safe distancing.  ​

Dining – Passengers may use their mobile devices to place their orders for fresh dishes or pre-packed meals and beverages for table delivery or self-collection. ​

Lounge amenities – Shower facilities continue to be available, with bath towels and amenities hygienically packed.  ​

Reading materials – Complimentary Wi-Fi service enables passengers to browse through digital reading materials.​

Boarding gate protocol – Contactless temperature and security checks will be performed before entry.  ​

Document verification – Airline staff will verify passengers’ travel documents. Contactless boarding using mobile boarding pass is possible for domestic flights. ​

Social distancing –  Passengers are reminded of social distancing when at the boarding gate and when boarding.​

Boarding process – Boarding will be done in sequence of small groups, with priority given to passengers requiring special assistance.​

Hygiene kits and protocols – Hygiene kits will be distributed to all passengers. Passengers are required to have their face masks on at all times, except during meal times. Our crew will don their personnel protective equipment throughout the flight.​

Comfort items – Headphones are hygienically prepared and made available for flights above 2 hours. Pillows, duvet or blankets are hygienically  prepared and made available for flights above 5 hours.  ​

In-flight meals – Food and beverage service have been modified for your well-being. ​

HEPA air filters – The cabin air recirculation system is filtered by the High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter which is capable of filtering 99.97% airborne contaminants and microorganisms.  ​

Cabin cleanliness – Lavatories are periodically cleaned during flights. Cabins are cleaned and disinfected with aircraft-manufacturer approved disinfectants after every flight. ​

Disembarkation – Passengers are required to follow the instruction from our cabin crew to disembark by rows. ​

Health screening and declaration – Passengers are required to have their temperature taken and undergo COVID-19 testing upon arrival in Malaysia. They are also required to download the MySejahtera app for contact tracing purposes.​

International transit passengers – Proceed to connecting gate or transfer desk for assistance.​

Randox are supplying kits for self-administered PCR COVID-19 testing, for a discounted rate, to customers. ​

It is important to note that, when you re ordering the testing kits, you will need to purchase one for all passengers on your booking – unless they are exempt from testing due to their age. You cannot opt to order one for some passengers on the booking, and not for others. You can order 10 pre-departure testing kits and only one day 2&8 and any Travel Pack per transaction, so you will need to carry out multiple transactions if you are travelling as a party larger than this.  ​

Kits are sent out by Randox for next-day delivery to your home – as long as you order by 12pm Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays in Northern Ireland. Please allow two business days for your home testing kit to arrive.  ​

Make sure you order a testing kit as early as possible before your holiday, to ensure it arrives in time. ​

ExpressTest offer both pre-departure Fit to Fly and post arrival Day 2 & Day 8 and Test to Release in-person Covid screening solutions. ​

Their fast and accurate gold standard PCR Fit to Fly screening is available from just £59 at their drive-thru and in-terminal locations at Heathrow Airport, as well as regional testing centres right across the UK. ​

ExpressTest results are emailed with a Fit to Fly certificate by 10pm the day after the test, with bookings made online via the website. ​

ExpressTest is also an official ‘Test to Release’ provider, offering passengers arriving in England the option to reduce their required quarantine period from 10 to 5 days. ​
