Enrich Redemption Waiver Policy

Enrich is offering flexibility and further extended validity to Enrich members with Award Tickets redeemed on Malaysia Airlines operated flights as well as oneworld and Enrich partner airline flights, effective 31 May 2021.

Malaysia Airlines destinations redeemed on Malaysia Airlines (MH) operated flights only.

VOLUNTARY CHANGES FOR FULLY UNUSED REDEMPTION TICKET:

  • Applies to all Malaysia Airlines (MH) (232) tickets issued for travel on purely Malaysia Airlines operated flights only.
  • Applies to Malaysia Airlines (MH) (232) tickets issued for travel between 1 January 2020 to 29 March 2021.
  • Rebooking must be made by 30 June 2022.
  • All rebooked travels must be completed on or before 31 December 2022.
  • Respective ticket redemption fare rules will apply.
  • No refunds allowed.
  • Rerouting for fully unused redemption ticket is subject to fare rules of the ticket redeemed.
  • If the new fare is higher, the difference is to be paid by cash/credit card.
  • If the new fare is lower, any balance in Enrich Points will be forfeited. Malaysia Airlines (MH) will not refund the balance.

VOLUNTARY CHANGES FOR PARTLY USED REDEMPTION TICKETS:
  • Applies to all Malaysia Airlines (MH) (232) tickets issued for travel on purely Malaysia Airlines operated flights only.
  • Applies to Malaysia Airlines (MH) (232) tickets issued for travel between 1 January 2020 to 29 March 2021.
  • Rebooking must be made by 30 June 2022.
  • All rebooked travels must be completed on or before 31 December 2022.
  • Rerouting is not allowed.
  • One-time free date change fee.
  • ‘No show’ fee will apply, where applicable.

INVOLUNTARY CHANGES - FULLY UNUSED/PARTLY USED REDEMPTION TICKET:
  • Applies to all Malaysia Airlines (MH) (232) tickets issued for travel on purely Malaysia Airlines operated flights only.
  • Applies to Malaysia Airlines (MH) (232) tickets issued for travel between 1 January 2020 to 29 October 2022.
  • One free date change allowed.
  • Rebooking must be made by 30 June 2022.
  • All rebooked travels must be completed on or before 31 December 2022.
  • No Refund.
  • Ticketed and confirmed passengers who have experienced flight disruptions with original travel from 1 January 2020 - 26 March 2022 will be allowed one (1) free date change – no Enrich Points or fare difference or change/service fees will be collected subject to the below criteria:
    • New travel should be booked in the same/original booking class or the next highest available booking class.
    • No change in destination or cabin is permitted.
    • New/deferred travel must be on and before 31 December 2022.
  • Rerouting
    • Fully unused tickets – Subject to redeemed ticket fare rules
    • Partly Used tickets – No rerouting allowed
  • All subsequent changes for deferred/new travel dates must be reassessed to reflect current available fare.
    • If the new fare is higher, the fare difference will be collected by cash/credit card.
    • If the new fare is lower, any unutilized Enrich Points balance will be forfeited, and Malaysia Airlines will not refund the balance.
    • ‘No Show’ will be applied/collected as per fare rule. In the case of fare products that indicate No-Show not allowed in the respective T&C – the ticket will be forfeited (no changes permitted).

  • COMBINATION OF MALAYSIA AIRLINES & ONEWORLD PARTNER AIRLINE REDEMPTION TICKET
  • ENRICH PARTNER AIRLINE REDEMPTION TICKET

All oneworld and Enrich Partner Airlines’ destinations.

1. UNUSED REDEMPTION TICKET:

  • Applies to all MH (232) document used to redeem for travel on oneworld or partner airline flights only.
  • Applies to MH (232) tickets redeemed for travel between 1 January 2020 to 30 September 2021 only.
  • No refunds allowed.
  • Rerouting is allowed on same airline and same booking class redeemed.
  • USD20 - one-time date change fee waived.
  • All rebooked travels must be completed on or before 31 December 2022.
  • Rebooking must be made by 30 June 2022.
  • Extension fees will apply as follows:
    • 1st extension from original 6-month ticket expiry validity – USD40 will apply
    • 2nd extension from 1st extension validity – USD40 will apply
    • 3rd and final extension till 31 December 2022 – USD40 will apply
    • Subsequent travel date changes – USD20 will apply
  • Point difference may apply for any changes made to a higher booking class or reroute that requires additional Enrich Points.
  • Changes made to lower booking class or any new route that requires lesser points, Enrich Points balance will not be refunded and will be forfeited.
  • Any additional taxes or airport charges will be collected at time of ticket reissuance.

2. PARTLY USED REDEMPTION TICKET:
  • Applies to all MH (232) document used to redeem for travel on oneworld or partner airline flights only.
  • Applies to MH (232) tickets redeemed for travel between 1 January 2020 to 30 September 2021 only.
  • No refunds allowed.
  • No rerouting allowed.
  • Rebooking is allowed on the same airline and same booking class redeemed only.
  • USD20 - one-time date change fee waived.
  • All rebooked travels must be completed on or before 31 December 2022.
  • Rebooking must be made by 30 June 2022.
  • Extension fees will apply as follows:
    • 1st extension from original 6-month ticket expiry validity – USD40 will apply
    • 2nd extension from 1st extension validity – USD40 will apply
    • 3rd and final extension till 31 December 2022 – USD40 will apply
    • Subsequent travel date changes – USD20 will apply
  • Point difference may apply for any changes made to a higher booking class or reroute that requires additional Enrich Points.
  • Changes made to lower booking class or any new route that requires lesser points, Enrich Points balance will not be refunded and will be forfeited.
  • Any additional taxes or airport charges will be collected at time of ticket reissuance.

  • Note:
  • For members who did not pay for the 1st and 2nd extensions, members are required to pay USD80 for both 1st & 2nd extensions and another USD40 for the 3rd and final extension to have the redemption ticket extended till 31 December 2022. Members will be required to pay for all three (3) extensions.
  •  

  • All rebooking will be subjected to seat availability on the partner airline redeemed.
  •  

  • Malaysia Airlines will not assume responsibility if the partner airline is not able to offer confirmed seats for the dates requested.
  •  

  • The extension option till 31 December 2022 is final.
  •  

  • Redemption tickets redeemed on oneworld/partner airlines is forfeited with Enrich Points, taxes and surcharges not refundable if the ticket is not utilised by 31 December 2022.

3. UNUSED OR PARTLY USED TICKET REDEEMED ON ONEWORLD OR PARTNER AIRLINE:

  • Voluntary Changes
    • Members are advised to call the Malaysia Airlines Contact Center or visit any Malaysia Airlines ticketing offices to initiate changes for the following:
      • Fully Unused redemption ticket: date change or reroute on the same airline redeemed.
        • Any additional Enrich Points required for the new routing or higher class will apply.
        • Any lesser Enrich Points for the new routing will be forfeited.
      • For partly used ticket: only date change allowed.

  • Involuntary Changes
    • Flight cancelled by operating oneworld or partner airline flight redeemed:
      • Enrich members are required to contact the respective operating carriers the ticket has been redeemed on for the purpose of rebooking.
