Malaysia Airlines Shows Support to Sekolah Seri Puteri Symphonic Winds Orchestra
KLIA, 12 July 2019: Malaysia Airlines yesterday, celebrated the arrival of the Sekolah Seri Puteri Symphonic Winds Orchestra (SPWinds) at KL International Airport (KLIA) from Sydney, Australia via Malaysia Airlines’ flight MH122 after winning GOLD in the 30th Australian International Music Festival 2019.
All 59 students competed against more than 100 participants from schools around the world. The week-long festival which took place between 4 to 11 July 2019, features a mixture of choral, wind bands and orchestral groups.
Malaysia Airlines Group Chief Executive Officer, Captain Izham Ismail said, “As the national airline of Malaysia, we proudly fly the nation’s flag around the world and this time, the students are the flag bearer of the nation in Sydney. We are honoured to be part of their exciting journey and our small contribution reflects our support not just in sports and formal education but also in co -curricular activities that complement academic learning.”
Tuan Hasnal Hashim, Chairman of the Parent-Teacher Association of Sekolah Seri Puteri, expressed his joy with the team's achievement. “The perseverance and dedication of all stakeholders as well as our partners which include Malaysia Airlines are highly commendable.”
