Malaysia Airlines Ushers in Chinese New Year with classic festive meals
KLIA, 20 January 2020: Malaysia Airlines is all geared up for the Chinese New Year festivities with delicious offerings on board as well as at its Golden Lounges in KL International Airport (KLIA), Kuching and Kota Kinabalu.
From 25 until 31 January 2020, Malaysia Airlines will be delighting its guests with delectable festive dishes which will be available for lunch, dinner and supper on selected flights to Hong Kong, Daxing (Beijing), Shanghai and London.
Business Suite and Business Class passengers can look forward to an appetiser of Yee Sang with Salmon Tataki or Jelly Fish, Steamed Cod Fish with red date, ginger and shiitake mushroom or a choice of vegetable balls with Ginkgo Nut, Braised Pak Choy with Mushroom, served with steamed rice as main course. Economy Class passengers will also be able to enjoy an appetiser of Yee Sang with Jelly Fish served with a choice of Deep Fried Fish Cube with Broccoli Mushroom and steamed rice or Chicken with Sesame Sour Plum Sauce with Oriental Mixed Vegetables and Egg Fried Rice as the main dish.
To those visiting the Golden Lounges in KLIA, join in the festivities as Malaysia Airlines will be serving sumptuous festive meals prepared by our in-house Chefs. The lounge will be serving Yee Sang and vegetable spring rolls as well as a selection of Chinese Style Fried Rice, Sweet and Sour Fish, Malaysian Curry with Potato Ginger Chicken Stew with Root Vegetables and Loh Hon Chye. For desserts, guests will get to savour the Mango Pudding, Pineapple Tart, Warm Red Bean Soup with Dumpling and Peanut Cookies.
Alongside the traditional Yee Sang, guests at our Golden Lounge in Kuching will also be able to enjoy the Deep fried fish fillet with Lemon butter sauce, Steam Lotus Leaf Rice and vegetable dish Loh Hon Chye while in Kota Kinabalu, the special dishes include Szechuan Vegetable Chicken Salad with choices of main dishes such as Pineapple Fried Rice, Stir Fry Seafood and Chicken in Yam Basket as well as Steamed Pak Choy Garlic and Mushroom.
