The 2025 Hajj season will see a total of 110 flights operated across Phase 1 and Phase 2, with a combined total of 15,620 pilgrims expected to travel. The first phase will consist of 55 flights, focusing on transporting pilgrims to Madinah and Jeddah, while the second phase will also comprise 55 flights to bring pilgrims back to Malaysia, beginning 14 June 2025 and will conclude by 10 July 2025. The first flight of the 2025 Hajj season will mark the beginning of Amal's efforts to facilitate the travel of pilgrims, with feeder flight MH8403 connecting Alor Star (AOR) to the main flight route. The airline will ensure seamless connectivity through additional feeder flights from cities such as Penang (PEN), Kota Bahru (KBR), Johor Bahru (JHB), Kuching (KCH), Kota Kinabalu (BKI), and Kuala Terengganu (TGG) to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL). Mr. Muhammad Najmi Mansor, Chief Operating Officer of Amal by Malaysia Airlines said, “ It’s always a profound honour for us to accompany our pilgrims on this sacred journey. Together with Lembaga Tabung Haji, we are deeply committed to making every step of their Hajj experience as smooth, safe, and spiritually enriching as possible. From the moment they step on board, our experienced crew – rooted in the values of Malaysian Hospitality – ensures that each pilgrim is cared for with warmth and respect to our unique inflight experience tailored to the needs of pilgrims – including religious content and rituals onboard – that sets us apart in delivering not just a flight, but a meaningful pilgrimage from the moment they board. ” As part of Amal’s customer value proposition and distinctive in-flight services, passengers can experience announcements such as the talbiah and miqat via the in-flight entertainment (IFE) system during the first leg of their journey. The call to prayer ( azan ) and sermons ( tazkirah ) are also available onboard throughout Amal’s flights. In an effort to ensure comfort and efficiency, Amal will operate its flights using the A330-300 aircraft, which offers a spacious configuration with 284 seats, prioritising a comfortable travel experience for all pilgrims. Over the years, Amal’s collaboration with LTH has led to many successful initiatives, including the implementation of the Makkah Route, which has greatly simplified the pre-departure and arrival processes in Saudi Arabia. The two organisations have also worked together on various cost-saving initiatives and workshops to help mitigate Hajj cost escalations. Additionally, Amal and LTH have enhanced services at key facilities, such as Movenpick and the seven domestic LTH complexes, ensuring that pilgrims have the most comfortable and efficient experience possible. The partnership continues to ensure smooth flight reservations and check-ins, resulting in significant improvements in operational efficiency and productivity for both Amal and LTH.
