Kuala Lumpur, 28 October 2024 – Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur is delighted to collaborate with Malaysia Airlines to bring the joy and richness of Deepavali to travellers at all of the airline’s Golden Lounges in KLIA Terminal 1 from 31 October to 6 November 2024 . The hotel is proud to announce this exciting collaboration with Malaysia Airlines as part of collective efforts to elevate the guest experience through a curated menu that celebrates the exquisite flavours of Indian cuisine. This follows the airline's initiative of introducing a special Deepavali menu onboard, featuring Chicken Jalfrezi on selected flights throughout the month of October. During this period, all three (3) of Malaysia Airlines’ lounges in KLIA Terminal 1 – the Satellite Golden Lounge, Regional Golden Lounge and Domestic Golden Lounge – will be transformed into a festive dining destination, showcasing a specially curated Deepavali menu by Chef Thinesh of Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur’s. With over 10 years of experience, he is renowned for his expertise in Indian cuisine, and his dishes are consistently popular among both local and international travellers at the hotel’s buffet restaurant – Latest Recipe. Highlights of the menu include flavourful Aloo Gobi, Fish Ambhedi Tikka, Murgh Tandoori, Goa Fish Curry and fragrant Mattar Jeera Pulao, alongside Palak Gosht, Tomato Shorba, and a variety of delicious desserts. Each dish is meticulously designed to capture the essence of Deepavali’s vibrant traditions while offering the refined flavours that are the hallmark of Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur’s Deepavali Buffet Dinner, which will also be available at the Latest Recipe from 31 October to 3 November 2024. In keeping with the festive spirit, the Golden Lounges will also feature traditional kolam art, a colourful and intricate design made from coloured rice and Indian beadings, symbolising prosperity and good fortune. The presence of kolam art at the lounge entrance brings a visual representation of Deepavali’s values, enhancing the cultural atmosphere and providing travellers with a moment of artistic beauty and serenity before they continue their journey.
