Update: Flight Operations to/from Jakarta on 8 September 2026

Malaysia Airlines cancels selected Kuala Lumpur–Jakarta flights due to Mount Anak Krakatau ash activity.

Following the resumption of flight operations at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta (CGK), Malaysia Airlines is gradually resuming services as airport operations recover from the disruption caused by volcanic ash from Mount Anak Krakatau, Indonesia. For 8 September 2026, the following Malaysia Airlines services are operating as scheduled: MH717 (KUL – CGK) MH716 (CGK - KUL) MH721 (KUL – CGK) MH723 (KUL – CGK) The following flights remain cancelled: MH713 (KUL – CGK) MH712 (CGK – KUL) MH711 (KUL – CGK) MH710 (CGK – KUL) MH726 (CGK - KUL) Given the evolving situation, Malaysia Airlines is closely monitoring developments. Further updates on affected flights will be updated and communicated directly to affected customers.
