Madinah

The second holiest city to Muslims after Makkah is as beautiful and welcoming as ever.

On holy ground

While Al-Masjid an-Nabawi is the third mosque built in the history of Islam, it holds much more significance as it was established and built by the Prophet Muhammad himself. Over time it was beautified, amplifying its awe-inspiring grandeur, and expanded to accommodate the growing number of pilgrims and visitors. Notable features include its famous Green Dome and the fact that its doors are always open

Having a great date

Madinah is famous as a shopping haven for tasty high-quality dates. Visitors throng to the famed Souq Al Tumor, a historic market with hundreds of stores selling wares such as garments, prayer mats, prayer beads, jewellery, and of course, a huge variety of dates.

Mount Uhud

Head to the largest mountain range north of Madinah and take a step onto the grounds where holy battles were fought and companions of the Prophet Muhammad who perished were buried. As you make your way to the top of the mountain so beloved by the Prophet, you’ll find yourself reflecting on the lessons learned from the battle, which is an encounter of great significance for those interested in the history of Islam .
