Tawau
This sea port town is the perfect stepping stone into rugged jungles and some of the most spectacular diving in the world.

Aquatic wonderland
Vibrant underwater life and coral reefs thrive in Tawau, your gateway to some of the world’s best diving spots. Visit Sipadan Island where famous dive sites include a wall of colourful corals at The Drop Off and a swirling vortex of barracudas at Barracuda Point. Mataking Island offers off-the-beaten path relic dives and a chance to write a postcard and officially post it underwater. You will find the post-box located off a sunken cargo ship teeming with fish.

Tropical trees in Tawau Hill Park
Tawau Hills Park is a popular nature spot because it is so close to town. Explore the world’s tallest tropical trees – the shorea faguetiana species – standing at a majestic 96.9 metres tall. Venture over the canopy bridge, suspended 40 metres in the air, towards sulphur hot springs and the Galas waterfall. Try spotting a white-crowned hornbill and Malaysia’s national butterfly, the Raja Brook.

Chocoholics’ paradise
After all your intrepid adventures, unwind at Teck Guan Cocoa village, where cocoa is grown in abundance for processing. The divine smell of cocoa permeates the whole tour and there are many opportunities to taste and buy chocolate. The Cocoa House offers unique snacks including cocoa porridge, cocoa noodles and even cocoa prawn roll.
