THE WORLD’S ROMANCE AND ART CENTRAL
If you have a weakness for romance or art, Paris needs no introduction. Take a flight into France's beloved capital, where the experience justifies the hype. The easiest way around is the Metro, which travels through both sides of the River Seine. The famous Eiffel Tower is the best place to start with a bird's eye view of the city. The Cathedrale de Notre Dame is another must-see gothic masterpiece and close by is the La Basilique du Sacre Couer, a major tourist draw. The Rodin Museum is filled with works of the master sculptor alongside Van Goghs, Monets, and Renoirs while the National Picasso Museum houses Pablo's largest single collection of artworks.
For those interested in modern art, check out the exhibits at the Centre Georges Pompidou, Institut du Monde Arabe and the Grand Art de la Defense. To experience Paris' glorious past, walk down the affluent Champs Elysee, ending at Napoleon's Art de Triomphe. Save the best for last – book yourself for a couple of jaw dropping days at the Louvre, home to the Mona Lisa.
