Penang, 18 March 2013: Malaysia Airlines the national flag carrier, has centralized its Penang reservations and ticketing functions at Penang International Airport.
The new facility has an office space of 88 sq meters, which is 20% larger than the previous premise in the airport and is located strategically in front of the Malaysia Airlines check-in counters at the departure level.
Speaking at official opening ceremony of the facility today, Malaysia Airlines’ Regional Senior Vice President for Malaysia & ASEAN, Encik Muzammil Mohamad said, “Today, customers look for service that provides them an emotional connection, a special touch, a unique moment, and in Malaysia Airlines we offer this experience through the globally acclaimed Malaysian Hospitality. This is our brand positioning which guides us through our service delivery enhancements at every customer touch point.”
“The strategic positioning of our new ticket office together with the latest ticketing facilities at this location is an important distribution channel that offers seamless travel engagement for our customers. They can now conveniently reach us at this one-stop centre for their travel needs everyday” he added.
It is open daily from 5.30am till 10.00pm including public holidays and will be able to serve both the immediate ticketing needs of customers as well as their future travel planning.

The integration of the reservations and ticketing operations in the newly renovated airport enhances its strategic accessibility to customers in both the mainland and in the island of Penang.
