Mou Marks Significant medical Tourism Partnership Between Tropicana Medical Centre (TMC) and Masholidays
Petaling Jaya, 30 June 2011 : Tropicana Medical Centre (TMC) is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Malaysia Airlines’ travel and tour arm MASholidays today. This first-of-its-kind partnership between a Malaysian private medical centre and an airline marks a significant development in TMC’s effort to reach out to medical tourists from around the globe, in line with the government’s effort to develop Malaysia into a global medical tourism hub. The signing was executed between Francis Lim, Group Chief Executive Officer of TMC Life Sciences Berhad (parent company to Tropicana Medical Centre (M) Sdn. Bhd.) and Dato’ Dr. Amin Khan, Executive Vice President Commercial Strategy of Malaysia Airlines and witnessed by Erica Lam, Chief Operating Officer TMC and Josephine Liew, Senior Vice President MASholidays.
Under the provisions of the MOU, TMC will be offering MASholidays customers different types of Executive Health Screening packages such as Basic, Wellness, Elite and Premier at attractive rates. MASholidays will then incorporate these screening programmes into an all-inclusive travel, accommodation and tour packages to be introduced to international holiday makers.
Through these packages, Individuals will be given a choice of economy or business class return travel exclusively on Malaysia Airlines, 3 nights’ acco`mmodation in a 4 to 5-star hotel, daily breakfast and a roundtrip private transfer from the hotel to TMC for the free health-screening. This comprehensive programme will provide tourists with the opportunity to not only have a holiday in Malaysia but also ensure that they are in the pink of health through such comprehensive preventive care programmes.
Speaking at the MOU signing ceremony, Francis Lim, Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TMC Life Sciences Berhad said, “We are very pleased to be creating history with Malaysia Airlines’ through this unique and first-of-its-kind offering.
