Terms & Conditions

Account/Enrich Account
An Account is formed when an individual is accepted as a Member of the Enrich programme. The Account will be maintained for as long as the individual remains an Enrich Member in good standing. The Account will be used for the purpose of tracking the Enrich Member's activity in the programme and the number of unredeemed miles the individual currently maintains.

Activity
An Activity refers to an Enrich Member's interaction with Malaysia Airlines or an Enrich Partner in which Enrich Miles are accrued or redeemed.

Airline Partner
An airline (other than oneworld Airline) that participates in the Enrich programme where members may earn and redeem Enrich Miles for award tickets.

Award Travel
An Award ticket redeemed for travel on Malaysia Airlines, oneworld Airlines and Enrich Airline Partners on applicable Economy Class, Business Class and First Class seats. Travel Awards follow the Terms and Conditions of the airline providing carriage.

Bonus Miles
Bonus Miles may be offered for using qualifying products and services of Malaysia Airlines, oneworld Airlines and Enrich Partners. Bonus Miles are offered for a defined period of time and may not be offered to all Enrich Members in all locations. Bonus Miles do not count towards Elite Tier Status qualification but may be used towards the redemption of Enrich Awards.

Class of Service Bonus Miles
Class of Service Bonus Miles are accrued when an Enrich Member travels Malaysia Airlines and oneworld Airlines in Business Class, First Class or other class of service as defined by Enrich. Class of Service Bonus Miles count towards Elite Tier Status qualification as defined under Elite Miles. Class of Service Bonus Miles may be used towards the redemption of Enrich Awards.

Codeshare Flight
Flight that has an airline code or number of one airline on the ticket, but which is on an aircraft operated by another airline.

Companion Travel Award
A travel award ticket redeemed that must be used in conjunction with a qualified paid ticket for travel on Malaysia Airlines operated flights in Business Class or First Class, and which must follow the same itinerary as the paid ticket.

Great Circle Distance
Method of calculation used to determine the number of actual flight miles an Enrich Member will earn on a qualifying flight with Malaysia Airlines, oneworld Airlines and Airline Partners. The Great Circle Distance is the shortest distance between any two points on the globe as measured over the earth's surface.

Elite Miles
Elite Miles are used to track an Enrich Member's qualification towards Enrich Silver, Enrich Gold and Enrich Platinum Tier Status. Elite Miles will only be earned on Malaysia Airlines and oneworld Airlines qualifying fares on Economy, Business and First Class. Elite Miles may not be used towards the redemption of Enrich Awards.

Elite Sectors
Elite Sectors are used to track an Enrich Member's qualification towards Enrich Silver and Enrich Gold and Enrich Platinum Tier Status. An Elite Sector is a flight from origin to destination which carries a single flight number. Elite Sectors will only be accrued on Malaysia Airlines and oneworld Airlines on qualifying fares on Economy Class, Business Class and First Class. Elite Sectors may not be used towards the redemption of Enrich Awards.

Elite Tier Bonus Miles
Elite Tier Bonus Miles can only be accrued by Enrich Silver, Enrich Gold and Enrich Platinum Members. Elite Tier Bonus Miles are accrued based on flight activity and other activity as defined by Enrich. Elite Tier Bonus Miles do not count towards Elite Tier Status qualification. Elite Tier Bonus Miles may be used towards the redemption of Enrich Awards.

Elite Tier Status
The generic term used to refer to Enrich Silver, Enrich Gold and/or Enrich Platinum status.

Enrich
Loyalty and Frequent Flyer Programme operated by Malaysia Airlines.

Enrich Award
The generic term used to refer to Travel Awards, Companion Travel Awards, Upgrade Travel Awards, Enrich Vouchers and Golden Lounge Access Vouchers available from the Enrich programme.

Enrich Miles
Enrich Miles are the currency of the Enrich programme, and are the miles that may be used to redeem for Enrich Awards. Enrich Members may accrue Enrich Miles when they use the qualifying services or products of Malaysia Airlines, oneworld Airlines, Airline Partners or an Enrich Non–Airline Partner.

Enrich Partners
An Enrich Partner is a legal entity with whom Enrich has an agreement that allows Enrich Members to accrue and/or redeem Enrich Miles with as defined by Enrich from time to time. Enrich Partner categories include but are not limited to the following activities:

  • fly with Malaysia Airlines, oneworld Airlines and Enrich Airline Partners on qualifying fares
  • stay with Enrich hotel partners at qualifying rates
  • pay for qualifying purchases using an Enrich credit or charge card partner
  • use the qualifying services of an Enrich telecommunication partner
  • rent a car at a qualifying rate from an Enrich car rental partner
  • purchase Malaysia Airlines’ Flight Simulator experience


Malaysia Airlines Flights
Flights operated and marketed by Malaysia Airlines (excluding code share flights).


Member/Enrich Member
A member of the Enrich programme and may refer to any member holding Enrich Blue, Enrich Silver, Enrich Gold and/or Enrich Platinum status, as the case may be.


Membership Tier
The generic term used to refer to Enrich Blue, Enrich Silver, Enrich Gold and/or Enrich Platinum status.


Multi Carrier Redemption (MCR)
oneworld multi carrier redemption Award refers to a Travel Award taken on either exactly two oneworld Airlines where Malaysia Airlines cannot be included or at least three oneworld Airlines where Malaysia Airlines can be included. An oneworld Airline and its oneworld member affiliates are treated as one entity in the airline count.


Non–Airline Partner
A legal entity, other than an airline, that participates in the Enrich programme where members may earn Enrich Miles. Non–Airline Partners include but are not limited to banks, credit/charge cards, hotels, telecommunications service providers, car rental companies and retail establishments.

Airlines and affiliates that are members of The oneworld Alliance.

Platinum Miles
Platinum Miles are used to track an Enrich Member's qualification towards Enrich Platinum Tier Status. Platinum Miles will only be accrued on qualifying Malaysia Airlines Business Class and First Class fares. Platinum Miles may not be used towards the redemption of Enrich Awards.


Platinum Sectors
Platinum Sectors are used to track an Enrich Member's qualification towards Enrich Platinum Tier Status. A Platinum Sector is a flight from origin to destination which carries a single flight number. Platinum Sectors will only be accrued on Malaysia Airlines operated flights on Business Class and First Class. Platinum Sectors may not be used toward the redemption of Enrich Awards.

Upgrade Travel Award
A travel award upgrade redeemed from Economy Class to Business Class or Business Class to First Class on Malaysia Airlines operated flights when a qualifying paid ticket is purchased.

  1. For an award itinerary taken on a combination of Malaysia Airlines and exactly 1 oneworld airline partner, the mileage required is priced with reference to the Malaysia Airlines Award Table and the Airline Partner Award Table on a prorate basis. Member is to contact Malaysia Airlines Call Centre for the exact mileage required.
  2. An Airline Partner Award comprises of Travel Award made on exactly 1 oneworld airline partner, or exactly 1 non-oneworld airline partner. Upgrade Travel Award and Companion Travel Award are not applicable on an Airline Partner Award. Refer to the Airline Partner Award Table for the mileage required for your award travel.
  3. For an award itinerary taken on a combination of 2 or more oneworld airline partners, please refer to the oneworld Award for the mileage required.
  4. For an award itinerary taken on 2 or more airlines, of which at least one is a non-oneworld airline partner, please note that a separate redemption ticket is required of non-oneworld airline partner(s). The total mileage required will be a summation of the mileage required of each ticket.
  5. Codeshare flights by airline partners are not allowed for redemption.
  6. One-way redemption is possible but may not be available on all airline partners.
  7. Stopover and open jaw are not permitted when using an Airline Partner Award.
  8. Where mixed class travel is concerned, the mileage required for the Airline Partner Award is priced according to the actual cabin classes taken on a prorate basis. You may wish to contact Malaysia Airlines Call Centre for the exact mileage required.
  9. Origin or turnaround point may not be used as an intermediate point in a one way or return trip journey.
  10. Backtracking is not permitted except as required by route restrictions. Backtracking occurs when a journey does not continue in the same direction where it began. An itinerary continuing a backtracking sector not required by route restrictions may require separate tickets.
  11. An Airline Partner Award must be booked through the Malaysia Airlines Call Centre only.
  12. Enrich and Malaysia Airlines reserve the right to make changes to the changes to the terms and conditions associated with an Airline Partner Award from time to time, including the mileage requirement published in the Airline Partner Award Table.
  13. Note : For Enrich Members Japan Domestic awards (entirely within Japan), each domestic sector for Award Travel shall be reserved no earlier than two months prior to the departure date of the flights.

General

  1. Enrich Miles may only be accrued after enrolment in the Enrich programme. However, qualifying travel on Malaysia Airlines within 60 days of enrolment is eligible for Enrich Miles accrual by submitting an Enrich Missing Miles Claim online at the Enrich Online website. Enrich members may not submit claims for Enrich Miles retroactively for non-Malaysia Airlines partner activities prior to enrolment.
  2. There is no minimum Enrich Miles guarantee. For qualifying flights with Malaysia Airlines, oneworld Airlines and Enrich Airline Partners, Enrich Members will earn the actual number of miles traveled as calculated using the Great Circle Distance calculation, plus any applicable Enrich Miles.
  3. To ensure crediting of Enrich Miles, the Enrich Member must quote their Enrich membership number at time of reservation and present their signed membership card when using the services of Malaysia Airlines, oneworld Airlines and/or Enrich Partners. Failure to do so will result in non-crediting of Enrich Miles. If an Enrich Member presents a temporary membership card, they must also provide either their NRIC or passport that matches the name used for enrolment.
  4. Each Enrich Partner may have different qualification criteria for awarding Enrich Miles. It is the responsibility of the Enrich Member to check with the Enrich Partner if Enrich Miles will be accrued for their activity with that Enrich Partner.
  5. Enrich Miles may only be accrued once per Activity and credited to only one frequent flyer programme. The crediting of Enrich Miles to multiple frequent flyer programmes is not allowed. If a Member is found to have accrued miles in multiple frequent flyer programmes from a single Activity, Enrich has the right to close that Enrich Member's Account and void all Enrich Miles in the Account.
  6. Enrich Miles for qualified Activities will be accrued by the Enrich Member using the product or service of Malaysia Airlines, oneworld Airlines and Enrich Partners regardless of who paid for the product or service.
  7. Any products or services of Malaysia Airlines, oneworld Airlines and Enrich Airline Partners purchased but not used will not accrue Enrich Miles. Enrich Mileage accrual for Non-Airline Partners is subject to the terms and conditions of Enrich and the Non-Airline Partner.
  8. The transfer of Enrich Miles from one frequent flyer programme to another is not permitted.
  9. The pooling of Enrich Miles by more than one Enrich Member into a single Account is not permitted. Enrich Miles may only be earned and credited to an Account by the person whose name the Account is registered.
  10. Malaysia Airlines and Enrich reserve the right to close an Account and void all Enrich Miles in that Account, if the Account is found to have accrued Enrich Miles fraudulently.

Earning Enrich Miles With Malaysia Airlines

  1. Enrich Members may accrue Enrich Miles on Malaysia Airlines, oneworld Airlines, Airlines Partner Economy Class, Business Class and First Class qualifying fares.
  2. Enrich Members will not accrue Enrich Miles for the following services; Enrich Awards, rural air services and industry discounts (P/U/I/E/G/X/T class), agency discounts, group fares (G class), special promotion fares, student fares, redemption tickets, charter flights (MH 4000 series) and joint services.

  1. Enrich Miles can only be earned once per qualifying flight.
  2. Enrich Miles will only be credited to the Enrich Member's Account after the flight has been taken. Enrich Miles will be credited within one week of the qualifying flight provided the Enrich Member has presented their membership number during check in and complied with the requirements of section 'How to Earn Enrich Miles'.
  3. In the event a flight is canceled due to operational reasons and Malaysia Airlines transfers the Enrich Member to another airline, the Enrich Member will accrue Enrich Miles as per their original Malaysia Airlines itinerary.

Earning Enrich Miles with oneworld Airlines and Enrich Partners

  1. Enrich Members may accrue Enrich Miles when using the qualifying services and products of Enrich Partners.
  2. Any fees imposed by Enrich Partners are the responsibility of the Enrich Member.
  3. Enrich Partner programme participation dates may vary and Enrich Miles will be awarded according to the participating dates.
  4. oneworld Airlines and Airline Partners may have different mileage accrual qualification criteria than Malaysia Airlines, and it is the Enrich Member's responsibility to clarify these criteria prior to purchasing a ticket and traveling with an Airline Partner.
  5. Non-Airline Partners
  • Hotel: Enrich Members may earn Enrich Miles for qualifying hotel stays. Enrich Miles will only be awarded one time per stay regardless of the number of days or rooms booked. Not all stays qualify for accrual of Enrich Miles. Enrich Members are advised to confirm with hotel at time of booking if stay will accrue Enrich Miles. Enrich Miles will be credited to Enrich Member's account within 6 to 8 weeks of hotel stay.
  • Credit/Charge Card: Enrich Members may accrue Enrich Miles by converting their credit/charge card points to Enrich Miles. The card issuer's terms and conditions and programme rules apply. Enrich Members must contact the relevant credit/charge card partner directly to request a transfer. Allow 2 weeks from request of transfer for the transaction to be completed and Enrich Miles to be credited to the Enrich Member's Account.
  • Car Rental: Enrich Members may earn Enrich Miles for qualifying car rentals. Enrich Miles will only be awarded one time per rental regardless of the number of cars rented or rental days. Enrich Member's are advised to contact the individual car rental company for specific terms and conditions on how to accrue Enrich Miles. Enrich Miles will be credited to the Enrich Member's Account within 6 to 8 weeks of car rental.
  • Telecommunication: Enrich Members may earn Enrich Miles when making qualifying international calls. Enrich Member's are advised to contact the individual service provider for specific terms and conditions on how to accrue Enrich Miles.
  • Lifestyle: Enrich Members may earn Enrich Miles when making qualifying purchases with Enrich Lifestyle Partners. Refer to the Enrich website for a complete list of Lifestyle Partners and mileage accrual terms. Enrich Miles will be credited to the Enrich Member's Account within 6 to 8 weeks of transaction.

Validity of Enrich Miles

  1. All Enrich Miles, Elite Miles and/or Elite Sectors and Platinum Miles and/or Platinum Sectors accrued by Enrich Members are automatically credited to the Enrich Member's Account.
  2. Enrich Miles are valid for the year in which they are earned plus an additional three years and will expire at the end of the third year. For example, Enrich Miles credited to an Account between the period of 1 January to 31 December 2013 will expire on 31 December 2016.
  3. Enrich members are advised to redeem their Enrich Miles prior to the expiry of their Enrich Miles.
  4. Enrich Miles expiring at the end of the year may be extended till the end of the following year at the cost of MYR 0.02 plus an administrative fee of MYR 40 per transaction. The miles extension feature is only applicable to members from October of each calendar year until July of the following year.
  5. Enrich Miles can only be extended once.
  6. Elite Miles and/or Elite Sectors and Platinum Miles and/or Platinum Sectors are tracked for the sole purpose of calculating an Enrich Member's qualification towards Elite Tier Status. Elite Miles and Platinum Miles may not be used towards the redemption of Enrich Awards nor can they be transferred, extended, purchased, sold or given to another member. Elite Miles and/or Elite Sectors and Platinum Miles and/or Platinum Sectors are valid only in the calendar year in which they are earned and will expire at the end of that year.

Account Statement

  1. An account statement will be sent quarterly to Enrich Members who have had activity during the previous three months and to Enrich Members who have Enrich Miles expiring in the following quarter.
  2. Enrich Members are able to check their account status online by logging onto Enrich Online.

General Guidelines

  1. Enrich Members under the age of 15 years must have written consent from a parent or guardian in order to redeem Enrich Miles. Only the Enrich Member may request to redeem Enrich Miles from their Account; no other person or entity may request for such a transaction. Enrich Miles may be redeemed as soon as they are credited to an Enrich Members Account.
  2. To claim an Enrich Award, the Enrich Member must have sufficient Enrich Miles in their account.
  3. Enrich Miles required to redeem an Enrich Award must be redeemed from a single Account. Enrich Miles may not be combined from multiple Accounts in order to redeem an Enrich Award.
  4. A child (aged 2 to 11 years) or infant (aged 1 month to 23 months) is treated the same as an adult and requires the same number of Enrich Miles for an Enrich Award. Redemption for infant on First Class is not permitted.An “Unaccompanied Young Passenger” (child who has reached the 5th but not the 15th birthday and is not accompanied by his/her parents, guardian or a passenger aged 18 years or more) is not eligible for Enrich Award redemption ticket.
  5. When making a Travel Award, Companion Travel Award or Upgrade Travel Award reservation, the Enrich Member must clearly indicate that Enrich Miles will be redeemed for this ticket. Failure to do so may result in the reservation being cancelled and no Enrich Award being issued.
  6. Travel Awards, Companion Travel Awards and Upgrade Travel Awards are subject to seat capacity control, which may limit the number of seats available for Enrich Awards on Malaysia Airlines and Enrich Airline Partners. Other restrictions may apply during certain periods throughout the year.
  7. Travel Awards, Companion Travel Awards and Upgrade Travel Awards will only be issued for a confirmed reservation. Open dated or waitlist tickets are not allowed.
  8. All redemption tickets must be issued by Malaysia Airlines on a Malaysia Airlines document. Travel agencies are not allowed to issue Enrich Award tickets.
  9. If the Enrich Award is being collected by someone other than the Enrich Member, an authorised person may be nominated to collect the Enrich Award. This person must bring along the following:
    i.     The signed membership card or a copy of both sides of the membership card
           of the Enrich Member whose account the Enrich Miles will be deducted from;
    ii.    A photo copy of the NRIC (for Malaysian) or passport of the Enrich Member  
           whose account the Enrich Miles will be deducted from;
    iii.   An original letter of authorisation signed by the Enrich Member whose
           account the Enrich Miles will be deducted; and
    iv.   The authorised person's own photo ID or NRIC (for Malaysian).
  10. Enrich Miles are deducted from the Enrich Member's Account when an Enrich Award is issued and not when a reservation or request is made.
  11. Enrich Travel Awards, Companion Travel Awards and Upgrade Travel Awards must be issued before the given ticketing deadline otherwise the reservation will be cancelled. All other Enrich Awards must be utilised before the redemption deadline or they will be cancelled.
  12. All taxes, fees and surcharges are the responsibility of the Enrich Member/user of the Enrich Award and are due at the time of issuance, ticketing and/or at departure.
  13. Enrich Awards, industry discount, agency discount, free tickets, domestic Malaysia promotional fares and tickets issued in L/V/S/N/Q/O/P/U/E/G/X/T/R/I/Z booking classes may not be used for the redemption of an Upgrade Travel Award or Companion Travel Award.Upgrade Travel Awards are subject to the rules of the purchased fare.
  14. Travel Awards, Companion Travel Awards and Upgrade Travel Awards are valid for 6 months from the date of the first outbound travel, unless otherwise specified. However, the Administrative Fees provided below shall be applied to validity extension of redemption ticket which is completely unutilized and validity of extended tickets must not be more than 12 months from the first date of ticket issuance. Extension is allowed for partially utilized tickets with a USD 60 Admin Fee.

  • Notes:
    1. Award tickets are valid for six (6) months from the first outbound travel date.

  • Once an Enrich Award expires it cannot be re-issued or extended.
  • Travel Awards, Companion Travel Awards and Upgrade Travel Awards are valid for travel on Malaysia Airlines (excluding charter services on MH4000 series and code share services on MH9000 series). Only Free Travel Awards are available on oneworld Airlines and Enrich Airline Partners; Companion Travel Awards and Upgrade Travel Awards are not available on oneworld Airlines and Enrich Airline Partners.
  • Once a Travel Award, Companion Travel Award and Upgrade Travel Award are issued it is considered used if not utilised for the flight reserved. Enrich Miles cannot be re-deposited nor can taxes, fees and surcharges paid be refunded.
  • In the event of a flight cancellation or flight rescheduling, passengers travelling on an Enrich Award will be re-routed as per the rules used for fare paying passengers.
  • Travel Awards (one way and return trip) and Upgrade Travel Awards on Malaysia Airlines operated flights may be booked in more than one class of service (mixed class travel). The number of miles required to redeem for mixed class travel is based on flight sectors and calculated using the Redemption calculator in Enrich Online.
  • Once issued, Enrich Awards may not be transferred or the Enrich Miles re-deposited into an Enrich Member’s Account. A person's use of an Enrich Award is subject to the conditions set by Malaysia Airlines, Enrich or the issuing Enrich Partner.
  • Travel Awards issued on behalf of oneworld Airlines and Enrich Airline Partners are subject to the normal rules outlined in each airline's Conditions of Carriage, copies of which may be obtained directly from the airline.
  • In the event that an issued Travel Award, Companion Travel Award or Upgrade Travel Award is lost or stolen, Enrich will reissue the Travel Award, Companion Travel Award or Upgrade Travel Award upon the passenger submitting a signed MAS Declaration of Indemnity Form and police report in accordance with local law and provided the Travel Award has not expired. A service charge will apply to any Free Travel Award, Companion Travel Award or Upgrade Travel Award re-issued and is payable before a new Enrich Award will be issued. Enrich Miles may not be re-deposited in an Enrich Member’s Account in the case of a lost or stolen Enrich Award.
  • A new Travel Award, Companion Travel Award or Upgrade Travel Award issued pursuant to item 24 above must be of the same value and follow the same itinerary as the original Enrich Award.
  • If a member has a complaint regarding the use of any Award, the member should notify the Enrich Customer Service Centre in writing within 90 days of the Award being used.

Sharing Enrich Awards

  1. Members may redeem Travel Awards, Companion Travel Awards and Upgrade Travel Awards in the name of family members and friends.
  2. Travel Awards, Companion Travel Awards and Upgrade Travel Awards redeemed in the name of family members and friends should be booked and ticketed following the same rules as for the Enrich Member.

Enrich Award Redemption on Malaysia Airlines, oneworld Airlines and and Airline Partners

A. Malaysia Airlines Award

  1. A Malaysia Airlines Award comprises of either a Travel Award, a Companion Travel Award or an Upgrade Travel Award made on Malaysia Airlines only. Refer to the Malaysia Airlines Award Table for mileage required for award travel at malaysiaairlines.com.
  2. A passenger traveling on a Travel Award is allowed to make one stopover per one way or return trip journey. A stopover occurs when a passenger arrives at an intermediate point and is not scheduled to depart within 24 hours of arrival for international flights and 12 hours for domestic flights. Companion Travel Awards and Upgrade Travel Awards follow the rules of the paid ticket.
  3. A passenger traveling on a Travel Award is allowed to make one turnaround open-jaw per return trip journey. A turnaround open-jaw occurs when the destination point of the outward trip is different from the starting point of the return trip. Open-jaw travel is not allowed on a one-way journey.
  4. Separate redemption tickets must be issued involving different countries for open jaw sectors even in same zone. E.g. KUL-LHR-SYD-KUL.
  5. A passenger is not permitted to transfer at an intermediate point more than twice on a single Malaysia Airlines Award.
  6. A passenger traveling on a Travel Award is allowed to make one turnaround open-jaw per return trip journey. A turnaround open-jaw occurs when the destination point of the outward trip is different from the starting point of the return trip. Open-jaw travel is not allowed on a one-way journey.
  7. Separate redemption tickets must be issued involving different countries for open jaw sectors even in same zone. Eg KUL-LHR-AKL-KUL
  8. A passenger is not permitted to transfer at an intermediate point more than twice on a single Malaysia Airlines Award.
  9. When utilising an Enrich Award and there is a sector in the itinerary which does not offer the class of travel redeemed for, a lower class of travel will be extended for the affected sector without any Enrich Miles adjustment.
  10. For the purpose of connection, a passenger traveling on an Enrich Award is allowed to make one transfers at an intermediate point on a one-way journey, and one transfers for the outbound and one transfers for the inbound for a return trip journey.
  11. Origin or turnaround point may not be used as an intermediate point in a one way or return trip journey.
  12. Where mixed class travel is concerned, the mileage required for the Malaysia Airlines Award will be priced according to the actual cabin classes taken on a prorate basis. Member must contact Malaysia Airlines Call Centre for the exact mileage required.
  13. Backtracking is not permitted except as required by route restrictions. Backtracking occurs when a journey does not continue in the same direction where it began. An itinerary continuing a backtracking sector not required by route restrictions may require separate tickets.
  14. Malaysia Airlines Awards may be re-issued but only for travel on the same airline, by the same person and provided no part of the Malaysia Airlines Award has been utilized. Additional Enrich Miles may be required for any change in the itinerary. If the new itinerary requires fewer Enrich Miles, the excess Enrich Miles will not be refunded. A re-issuance fee will apply as set out in the Administration Fees Table. The re-issued Malaysia Airlines Award will have the same expiry date as the original Malaysia Airlines Award. A passenger travelling on an international Malaysia Airlines Award may upgrade from a lower class of service to a higher class of service by paying a surcharge with the following criteria:
    • A passenger may upgrade from Economy Class to Business Class or from Business Class to First Class.
    • A surcharge of 50% of a normal full fare Business Class ticket on the applicable one way international sector is payable.
    • Upgrading from Economy Class to First Class is not allowed.
    • Prior booking on the higher class of service is not permitted. Seats for upgrade by paying a surcharge are available on a space available basis.
    • Enrich Miles will not be accrued.
  15. Malaysia Airlines Award can be booked through Enrich website, Malaysia Airlines Call Centre or any Malaysia Airlines offices.
  16. Enrich and Malaysia Airlines reserve the right to make changes to the Terms and Conditions associated with a Malaysia Airlines Award from time to time, including the mileage requirement published in the Malaysia Airlines Award Table.

B. Enrich Airline Partner Award

  1. For an award itinerary taken on a combination of Malaysia Airlines and exactly 1 oneworld airline partner, the mileage required is priced with reference to the Malaysia Airlines Award Table and the Airline Partner Award Table on a prorate basis. Member is to contact Malaysia Airlines Call Centre for the exact mileage required.
  2. An Airline Partner Award comprises of Travel Award made on exactly 1 oneworld airline partner, or exactly 1 non-oneworld airline partner. Upgrade Travel Award and Companion Travel Award are not applicable on an Airline Partner Award. Refer to the Airline Partner Award Table for the mileage required for your award travel..
  3. For an award itinerary taken on a combination of 2 or more oneworld airline partners, please refer to the oneworld Award for the mileage required.
  4. For an award itinerary taken on 2 or more airlines, of which at least one is a non-oneworld airline partner, please note that a separate redemption ticket is required of non-oneworld airline partner(s). The total mileage required will be a summation of the mileage required of each ticket
  5. Codeshare flights by airline partners are not allowed for redemption.
  6. One-way redemption is possible but may not be available on all airline partners.
  7. Stopover and open jaw are not permitted when using an Airline Partner Award.
  8. Where mixed class travel is concerned, the mileage required for the Airline Partner Award is priced according to the actual cabin classes taken on a prorate basis. You may wish to contact Malaysia Airlines Call Centre for the exact mileage required.
  9. Origin or turnaround point may not be used as an intermediate point in a one way or return trip journey.
  10. Backtracking is not permitted except as required by route restrictions. Backtracking occurs when a journey does not continue in the same direction where it began. An itinerary continuing a backtracking sector not required by route restrictions may require separate tickets.
  11. An Airline Partner Award must be booked through the Malaysia Airlines Call Centre only.
  12. Enrich and Malaysia Airlines reserve the right to make changes to the changes to the terms and conditions associated with an Airline Partner Award from time to time, including the mileage requirement published in the Airline Partner Award Table.
  13. Note : For Enrich Members Japan Domestic awards (entirely within Japan), each domestic sector for Award Travel shall be reserved no earlier than two months prior to the departure date of the flights.

C. Redemption on Mixed oneworld Airlines

  1. For an award itinerary taken on a combination of Malaysia Airlines and exactly 1 oneworld Airline partner, the mileage required is priced with reference to the Malaysia Airlines Award Table and the Airline Partner Award Table on a prorate basis. Member is to contact Malaysia Airlines Call Centre for the exact mileage required.
  2. For an award itinerary taken on a combination of 2 or more oneworld Airline partners, please refer to the oneworld Award for the mileage required.
  3. For an award itinerary taken on 2 or more airlines, of which at least one is a non-oneworld Airline partner, please note that a separate redemption ticket is required of non-oneworld Airline partner(s). The total mileage required will be a summation of the mileage required of each ticket.

D. oneworld Multi Carrier Redemption (MCR) Award

  1. oneworld MCR Award refers to a Travel Award taken on either exactly two oneworld Airlines where Malaysia Airlines cannot be included or at least three oneworld Airlines where Malaysia Airlines can be included. An oneworld Airline and its oneworld member affiliates are treated as one entity in the airline count. Upgrade Travel Award and Companion Travel Award are not applicable. Refer to the oneworld Award Table for the mileage required for your award travel.
  2. Only return trips are allowed. The first inbound point must coincide with the final outbound point.
  3. Up to 5 stopovers are allowed in an oneworld Award
  4. Surface sectors (i.e. open jaws) are not permitted
  5. Up to 8 sectors, excluding surface sectors are allowed in an oneworld MCR Award.
  6. An oneworld MCR Award must not be more than 50,000 miles in total trip distance. Longer journeys must be broken into separate tickets.
  7. One city can only be included as origin or destination at most twice in an oneworld MCR Award.
  8. Where mixed class travel is concerned, the mileage required for the oneworld MCR Award will be priced according to the actual cabin classes taken on a prorate basis. You may wish to contact Malaysia Airlines Call Centre for the exact mileage required.
  9. An oneworld MCR Award must be booked through the Malaysia Airlines Call Centre.
  10. Enrich and Malaysia Airlines reserve the right to make changes to the Terms and Conditions associated with an oneworld Award as deemed fit from time to time, including the mileage requirement published in the oneworld Award Table.

Additional Rules for Companion Travel Awards

  1. Enrich Members must first make their own flight reservations and then call Malaysia Airlines to make a Companion Travel Award reservation.
  2. Travel agents may issue the purchased ticket used in conjunction with the Companion Travel Award. However, reservations for and issuing of the Companion Travel Award must be made through Malaysia Airlines city office.
  3. The purchaser must be an Enrich member and the purchased ticket must be presented at the time the Companion Travel Award is issued.
  4. Child ticket will not be allowed as the principal ticket for Companion Travel Award.
  5. Enrich Miles, Elite Miles and/or Elite Sectors and Platinum Miles and/or Platinum Sectors will be accrued on the purchased ticket. Enrich Miles, Elite Miles and/or Elite Sectors and Platinum Miles and/or Platinum Sectors will not be accrued on the Companion Travel Award.
  6. Companion Travel Awards are only available on Malaysia Airlines document and Malaysia Airlines operated flights and only for Business Class and First Class travel.
  7. All First or Business Class purchased tickets on promotional fares are not eligible for Companion Travel Award.
  8. A Companion Travel Award is valid only for a passenger travelling together on exactly the same flights, dates and in the same class of service for the first outbound journey. Return journey can be on separate dates.
  9. Only one Companion Travel Award is permitted for each purchased ticket.
  10. Any change, reissue or revalidation requires both the purchased ticket and the Companion Travel Award to be presented together.

Additional Rules for Upgrade Travel Awards

  1. Enrich Members’ must first purchase a ticket from Malaysia Airlines or a travel agent before calling Malaysia Airlines to make an Upgrade Travel Award reservation.
  2. Travel agents may issue the purchased ticket used in conjunction with the Upgrade Travel Award. However, reservations and issuing of the Upgrade Travel Award must be made through Malaysia Airlines on a Malaysia Airlines document.
  3. Only a one-class upgrade is allowed per purchased ticket. A qualified Economy Class ticket may be upgraded to Business Class, and a qualified Business Class ticket may be upgraded to First Class.
  4. All Economy Class and Business Class tickets on promotional fares are not eligible for this Upgrade Travel Award.
  5. Upgrade Travel Awards are only available on Malaysia Airlines operated flights using Malaysia Airlines document.
  6. Enrich Miles will be accrued based on the class of travel purchased and not the class of travel flown.
  7. Upgrade Travel Awards may be used for one-way and return trip tickets.
  8. Only two sectors and one stopover/transfer are allowed with a one-way Upgrade Travel Award.
  9. Fare rules and conditions of the purchased ticket apply to the Upgrade Travel Award.

  1. If Enrich Miles, Elite Miles and/or Enrich Sectors do not appear in your Account 6 to 8 weeks after the qualifying transaction, Members may submit a claim at Enrich Online alternatively members may submit a Missing Miles Claim Form together with the following supporting documents, which must show the date and value of the qualifying transaction:
    • for missing flight: a copy of the relevant ticket and original boarding pass
    • for missing hotel stay: a copy of the hotel bill
    • for missing car rental: a copy of the car rental agreement
    • for others: a copy of the invoice, receipt or statement
  2. Documents submitted for claims will not be returned.
  3. A Missing Enrich Miles Claim Form must be submitted within 6 months from the date of the qualifying transaction. Requests for missing Enrich Miles, Elite Miles and/or Enrich Sectors made more than 6 months after the qualifying transaction will not be entertained.A Missing Enrich Miles Claim Form is available online at the Enrich Members' page. Enrich Members may submit the Missing Enrich Miles Claim Form for partners together with the necessary supporting documents to:

  4. Requests will require verification by Enrich, oneworld Airlines, Enrich Airline Partners and Enrich Non–Air Partners. If deemed a qualified transaction, the appropriate number of Enrich Miles will be credited to the Enrich Member's Account. Please allow 6 weeks for Enrich Miles to be reflected in the Account.
  1. Elite Tier Status will be awarded to an Enrich Member who qualifies for such status under guidelines set by Enrich.
  2. Once a member achieves Elite Tier Status, they must re-qualify for such status, or a higher status, each year.
  3. The membership term of an Elite Tier Status is the year in which the Enrich Member qualifies plus the period between 1 January to 31 December of the following year.
  4. Failure to re-qualify for Elite Tier Status will result in the Enrich Member being reclassified to the next lower Membership Tier.

 

 

The following oneworld Minimum Sector Rules towards qualification and re-qualification to Elite Tier Status:

  • Minimum 2 (Two) sectors for Enrich Silver on Malaysia Airlines Flights
  • Minimum 4 (Four) sectors for Enrich Gold and Platinum on Malaysia Airlines Flights
  1. An Account that has 36 continuous months of inactivity will be closed.
  2. An Enrich Member may choose to close their Account at any time with written notice; at which time any Enrich Miles, Elite Miles and/or Elite Sectors and Platinum Miles and/or Platinum Sectors in the Account will be cancelled.
  3. An Enrich Member who chooses to close their Account may not transfer, donate or give away their Enrich Miles, Elite Miles and/or Elite Sectors, Platinum Miles and/or Platinum Sectors, Elite Tier Status or benefits they may be entitled to at that time.
  4. An Account once closed (for any reason) will not be reinstated.
  5. In the event of an Enrich Member's death, the Enrich Member’s Account will be closed. Upon written request and proof of death, any Enrich Miles in the deceased Enrich Member's Account may be transferred to the Account of the Enrich Member's spouse, children or parents with proof of relationship. Unmarried deceased members, next of kin sister/brother/parents will be accepted and applicable to only one account. The miles may be transferred to only one account and may not be divided amongst multiple Accounts. Elite Miles and/or Elite Sectors, Platinum Miles and/or Platinum Sectors and Elite Tier Status or benefits will not be transferred.
  6. Enrich Members wishing to close their Account are required to send or email their written request to:

  1. Malaysia Airlines may change the programme rules or benefits from time to time with or without prior notice, even though such changes may affect the number of Enrich Miles that may be accrued, or the value of Enrich Miles already accumulated.
  2. Malaysia Airlines has the right at any time, without limitation, to initiate any changes in the participating organisations, changes impacting the rules for earning or redeeming Enrich Miles, the award structure, the availability of awards, the rules for use of awards, the rules of qualification for different Membership Tiers and the features for special offers.
  3. The ability to accrue Enrich Miles on participating carriers is contingent upon that carrier's continued participation in the Enrich programme.
  4. Malaysia Airlines reserves the right to terminate the programme, or any part thereof, at any time with or without notice, even though such termination may affect the right to accrue Enrich Miles or redemption of awards.
  5. The sale or barter of Enrich Miles, Enrich Awards or other benefits is prohibited and will result in the said items being forfeited or cancelled. In addition, the Enrich Member’s account may be suspended or closed and all Enrich Miles, Elite Miles and/or Elite Sectors accrued therein forfeited. Violators may be liable for damages, litigation and transaction costs.
  6. Without prejudice to or limiting any of its rights, Malaysia Airlines may with or without notice and for any reasons withdraw, suspend, cancel and/or terminate any membership and/or the Enrich card and/or any of the benefits and services thereby offered including but not limited to the forfeiture and cancellation of all accrued Enrich Miles, Elite Miles and/or Elite Sectors, Platinum Miles/Sectors and unused Enrich Awards, upon the occurrence of any or more of the following events:-
    i. accrual or redemption of Enrich Miles fraudulently;
    ii. engagement in any fraudulent activities under the programme;
    iii. the death or declaration of bankruptcy of an Enrich Member;
    iv. misuse or abuse of Enrich Awards;
    v. misrepresentation at any time of any information in any manner whatsoever;
    vi. misconduct by an Enrich Member including any displays of conduct deemed inappropriate by Malaysia Airlines in any dealings with Malaysia Airlines including with its employees, servants and agents;
    vii. failure to follow any programme policies and procedures;
    viii. failure to comply with any of these Terms and Conditions or the terms and conditions of any Enrich Partner, oneworld Airlines, Airline Partner and Non-Airline Partner;
    ix. failure to comply with Malaysia Airlines’ General Conditions of Carriage for Passengers and Baggage and any other applicable rules and regulations;
  7. The Enrich Member may also be held liable for all damages, litigation and transaction costs, including but not limited to Enrich Miles previously redeemed. Notwithstanding the listing of sub-paragraphs (i) until (ix) of Clause 7 above which are non-exhaustive, Malaysia Airlines shall be under no obligation to disclose or assign any reasons for the withdrawal, suspension, cancel and termination.
  8. Enrich Members whose accounts have been terminated or cancelled for any reason may not reopen a new Account.
  9. Enrich Members must report any suspected unauthorised activity from their account immediately. Failure to do so may result in the Enrich Member being held liable for the activity in question.
  10. Enrich may disclose or share the personal data of Enrich Members with Enrich Partners and suppliers, whether in Malaysia or otherwise, for purposes of marketing and communication and may include but not limited to:
    i. for purposes of provision of and/or promotion of services and/or products made available to Enrich Members through the Enrich programme; and/or
    ii. for purposes of conducting research, including but not limited to evaluation and auditing of its existing and/or proposed services; and/or
    iii. for purposes of maintaining and operating membership accounts.
  11. Enrich Members may expressly request that Malaysia Airlines not use their personal data for the abovementioned purposes. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Enrich Members hereby consent to their personal data being transferred by Malaysia Airlines for these purposes.
  12. Enrich Members are advised to inform Malaysia Airlines in writing of any change in personal data. Communications sent to an Enrich Member will be deemed delivered if posted to the membership address on record with Enrich. Only the Enrich Member may change and/or request to change personal details and particulars in their record. Members can also update their personal details e.g. address, telephone contact or email address online at www.malaysiaairlines.com
  13. At the discretion of Enrich, the programme may cease to send updates and related material to any Enrich Member who has not already opted out from receiving such information.
  14. Malaysia Airlines hereby declares that some personal data is mandatory for Enrich Members’s participation and failure to disclose such personal data may affect the provision of services or products an Enrich Member is entitled under the Enrich programme.
  15. Notwithstanding the above, Malaysia Airlines reserves the right to disclose Enrich Members' personal data and information relating to its activities under the Enrich programme in circumstances where it is required by law or any agency having jurisdiction over us.
  16. Any taxes, levies or duties incurred in connection with the accrual of Enrich Miles and use of Enrich Awards or programme benefits by an Enrich Member shall be the responsibility of and shall be borne by the Enrich Member or user of the Enrich Award or benefit, as the case may require.
  17. If any provisions of these Terms and Conditions become invalid, illegal or unenforceable, such provision shall be ineffective to the extent of such invalidity, illegality or unenforceability and will not affect the other provisions.
  18. Failure by Malaysia Airlines to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall not be construed as a waiver of its right to enforce the breach of such provision or any other provision in these Terms and Conditions or as a waiver of any continuing, succeeding or subsequent breach of any provision of these Terms and Conditions.
  19. It is the responsibility of the Enrich Member to keep themselves informed and updated on the rules of Enrich. Continued use of the programme by the Enrich Member will be deemed as acceptance of the current rules.
  20. Malaysia Airlines reserves the right to interpret and apply the terms and conditions of the Enrich programme as it sees fit. All such determinations by Malaysia Airlines shall be final and conclusive in each case.
  21. In accepting membership in Enrich, the said Enrich Member agrees to abide by the terms and conditions of the Enrich programme in its entirety. The Enrich Membership Card is the property of Enrich and must be forfeited upon request by Malaysia Airlines.
  22. All information is correct at the time of publication and is subject to change without prior notice.
  23. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.

 

 

Enrich Extension Terms and Conditions

  1. Enrich Miles can be extended one time only and is valid until the current year-end. Enrich Miles that have already been extended once cannot be extended again.
  2. An Enrich Member may not extend fewer than 1,000 Enrich Miles, or in increments less than 1,000 Enrich Miles.
  3. The extension fee is MYR 0.02 per mile and an administration fee of MYR 40 will apply. The local equivalent rate shall apply for purchases made in other countries.
  4. Extended Enrich Miles will remain in the Enrich Member’s Account, with the new expiration date and the Enrich Miles may be used at any time during its validity.
  5. Enrich Miles once expired cannot be extended retroactively.
  6. Extended Enrich Miles do not count towards Elite Tier Status.
  7. Enrich Members under the age of 15 years must have written consent from a parent or guardian in order to Extend Miles in their Account.
  8. Enrich Malaysia Airlines reserves the right at its sole discretion to vary or amend any of the terms and conditions herein at any time, without any prior notice.

    Note:
    Miles are valid for 3 years and members must redeem their miles before 31 December of that expiring year.
    For this reason, members must ensure that all redemption bookings be made before expiration of their Enrich Miles. Redemption bookings made for travel for the year following the year of miles expiry must be also ticketed by 31 December of the miles expiry year.
    Failure to redeem expiring miles will result in member having to pay to extend the expired miles. Appeals to extend the expired miles will not be entertained.

Enrich Transfer Terms and Conditions

  1. Enrich Miles may only be transferred between Enrich Accounts that are active and in good standing. Enrich Miles may not be transferred or exchanged with any other frequent flyer programmes, loyalty programmes or promotional schemes.
  2. Enrich Miles may be transferred at a minimum of 1,000 Enrich Miles at a rate of MYR 0.04 per Enrich mile. An administration fee of MYR 40 will apply for the transfer of Enrich Miles. The local equivalent rate shall apply for purchases made in other countries.
  3. Miles can only be transferred between Enrich accounts that are open and in good standing. Miles cannot be transferred or exchanged with any other frequent flyer programme, loyalty programme or promotional scheme.
  4. An Enrich Member may transfer an unlimited number of miles from their account to any number of other Enrich Accounts. The maximum number of Enrich Miles that an account may receive through Enrich Mileage Transfer is 50,000 Enrich Miles per calendar year.
  5. Enrich Miles once transferred are valid for current year and will expire at the end of the third year.
  6. Transferred Enrich Miles will not count towards Elite Tier Status qualification.
  7. Payment can be made at the Enrich Service Centre and Call Centre payment is accepted.
  8. The use of Transferred Enrich Miles is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Enrich programme.
  9. Members under the age of 15 years must have written consent from a parent or guardian in order to transfer Enrich Miles from their Account.
  10. Enrich Malaysia Airlines reserves the right at its sole discretion to vary or amend any of the terms and conditions herein at any time, without any prior notice.

Enrich Express Terms and Conditions

  1. An Enrich Member must have a minimum of 70% of the Enrich Miles required to redeem for an Enrich Award in their account, and may purchase a maximum of 30% of required Enrich Miles from Enrich for an Enrich Award.
  2. Enrich Miles may only be purchased for redemption of Free Travel Awards, Companion Travel Awards, Upgrade Travel Awards, Excess Baggage Allowance and Golden Lounge Access.
  3. Enrich Miles purchased for an Enrich Award must be redeemed against that Enrich Award, and may not be redeemed for any other award or service. Please allow a minimum of 1 week from the date of purchase for Enrich Miles to be reflected in your Account.
  4. Enrich Miles may be purchased at a minimum of 500 Enrich Miles at a rate of MYR 0.10 per mile plus a MYR 40.00 administration fee. The local equivalent rate shall apply for purchases made in other countries.
  5. An Enrich Member having the required number of Enrich Miles in their account for the requested Enrich Award may not purchase Enrich Miles.
  6. Any Enrich Miles remaining in the Enrich Member's Account after the award has been redeemed will remain in the Enrich Member's Account and have a three-year validity.
  7. Enrich Miles purchased do not count towards Elite Tier Status qualification.
  8. Once purchased, Enrich Miles are non-refundable.
  9. Enrich Awards redeemed in conjunction with Enrich Express must adhere to the Enrich Award Chart, which can be found online at www.malaysiaairines.com
  10. In the case where an Enrich Member is redeeming for multiple Enrich Awards, each Enrich Award request will be treated as a separate transaction; with the terms and conditions of Enrich Express being applied in full to each individual Enrich Award issued.
  11. Award seats are subject to availability at time of booking and restrictions may apply.
  12. Payment may be made at any Malaysia Airlines ticket office (city office only) by cash or credit card.
  13. The use of purchased Enrich Miles is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Enrich programme.
  14. Enrich Members under the age of 15 years must have written consent from a parent or guardian in order to purchase Enrich Miles through Enrich Express.
  15. If payment for Enrich Express is to be made by someone other than the Enrich Member, an authorised person may be nominated to make payment. This person must bring along the following:

Enrich RM50 Voucher Terms and Conditions

Enrich Voucher(s) for Excess Baggage may be requested online at www.malaysiaairlines.com or at the Malaysia Airlines ticketing office, Kuala Lumpur City Air Terminal, KL Sentral (Departure Hall), 50470 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

  1. Enrich Voucher(s) for Excess Baggage is available in denominations of RM50 and require the redemption of 3,500 Enrich Miles per voucher.
  2. Enrich Voucher(s) for Excess Baggage may only be redeemed on flight tickets bearing Malaysia Airlines’ flight numbers. The voucher(s) for Excess Baggage may be used for travel on Economy, Business or First Class tickets. The voucher(s) for Excess Baggage is valid for one-way travel only; round-trip travel requires double the number of vouchers for Excess Baggage as one-way travel.
  3. Voucher(s) for Excess Baggage redeemed online will be couriered to the Member within 14 days of redemption request. Voucher(s) for Excess Baggage will only be couriered to the address stated in this form. The Member will be liable for all courier costs, which will be payable through the redemption of Enrich Miles at the time Member redeems for the voucher(s). The number of Enrich Miles required for courier service is dependent on the mailing address of the Member.
  4. Enrich Voucher(s) for Excess Baggage is only available by redemption of Enrich Miles and may not be purchased with cash or credit card.
  5. Vouchers are transferable, however, the person using the voucher must be an Enrich Member.
  6. In a case where the full value of the Enrich Voucher(s) for Excess Baggage is not utilised, no refund of cash or Enrich Miles will be given.
  7. Enrich Voucher(s) for Excess Baggage, once issued, is non-refundable and may not be exchanged for cash.

Golden Lounge Access Voucher Terms & Conditions

  1. Enrich Voucher(s) for Golden Lounge Access may be requested online at www.malaysiaairlines.com or at the Malaysia Airlines ticketing office, Kuala Lumpur City Air Terminal, KL Sentral (Departure Hall), 50470 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
  2. Two types of Enrich Voucher(s) for Golden Lounge Access are available;
    i.Enrich Voucher for Domestic Golden Lounge Access allows entry to selected Domestic Malaysia Airlines Golden Lounge(s) and can be redeemed at 5,000 Enrich Miles per Voucher.
    ii.Enrich Voucher for International Golden Lounge Access allows entry to the Malaysia Airlines International Golden Lounges at Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Melbourne, Perth and London and can be redeemed at specified fixed Enrich miles. The vouchers for Australia can be exchanged for use at any one of the Malaysia Airlines Golden Lounges in Australia.

  4. Each Enrich Voucher for Golden Lounge Access admits one person to the Golden Lounge. Each voucher for Golden Lounge Access is valid for one-time use only, and valid only for the Business Class section of the Golden Lounge.
  5. Enrich Voucher(s) for Golden Lounge Access is only available by redemption of Enrich Miles and may not be purchased with cash or credit card.
  6. Miles redeemed for Golden Lounge Access is non-refundable and miles will not be re-credited or may not be exchanged for cash.
  7. This Enrich Voucher is transferable. The bearer or nominee must be an Enrich member and must present his/her passport or NRIC (for Malaysian) prior to entry at the respective Domestic or International Malaysia Airlines Golden Lounge as specified at the front of the voucher
  8. This Enrich Voucher is valid for pre-flight departure lounge access only and to be utilised on a Malaysia Airlines flight on that day.
  9. This Enrich Voucher is not valid at Third Party Lounges (lounges not operated by Malaysia Airlines).

Enrich Express Terms and Conditions

  1. 1.An Enrich Member must have a minimum of 70% of the Enrich Miles required to redeem for an Enrich Award in their account, and may purchase a maximum of 30% of required Enrich Miles from Enrich for an Enrich Award.
  2. Enrich Miles may only be purchased for redemption of Free Travel Awards, Companion Travel Awards, Upgrade Travel Awards, Excess Baggage Allowance and Enrich Vouchers for Golden Lounge Access.
  3. Enrich Miles purchased for an Enrich Award must be redeemed against that Enrich Award, and may not be redeemed for any other award or service. Please allow a minimum of 1 week from the date of purchase for Enrich Miles to be reflected in your Account.
  4. Enrich Miles may be purchased at a minimum of 500 Enrich Miles at a rate of MYR 0.10 per mile plus a MYR 40.00 administration fee. The local equivalent rate shall apply for purchases made in other countries.
  5. An Enrich Member having the required number of Enrich Miles in their account for the requested Enrich Award may not purchase Enrich Miles.
  6. Any Enrich Miles remaining in the Enrich Member's Account after the award has been redeemed will remain in the Enrich Member's Account and have a three-year validity.
  7. Enrich Miles purchased do not count towards Elite Tier Status qualification.
  8. Once purchased, Enrich Miles are non-refundable.
  9. Enrich Awards redeemed in conjunction with Enrich Express must adhere to the Enrich Award Chart, which can be found online at www.malaysiaairines.com
  10. In the case where an Enrich Member is redeeming for multiple Enrich Awards, each Enrich Award request will be treated as a separate transaction; with the terms and conditions of Enrich Express being applied in full to each individual Enrich Award issued
  11. Award seats are subject to availability at time of booking and restrictions may apply.
  12. Payment may be made at any Malaysia Airlines ticket office (city office only) by cash or credit card.
  13. The use of purchased Enrich Miles is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Enrich programme.
  14. Enrich Members under the age of 15 years must have written consent from a parent or guardian in order to purchase Enrich Miles through Enrich Express.
  15. If payment for Enrich Express is to be made by someone other than the Enrich Member, an authorised person may be nominated to make payment. General Guidelines

  1. Enrich Online Travel Award Dynamic Redemption for flights was introduced 01 November 2009.
  2. Only the Enrich Member may request to redeem Enrich Miles from their Account; no other person or entity may request for such a transaction.
  3. To claim an Online Enrich Award, the Enrich Member must have sufficient Enrich Miles in their account.
  4. Fare calculation rules for Travel Awards are different from travel on paid tickets.
  5. Enrich Miles required to redeem an Online Enrich Award must be redeemed from a single Account. Enrich Miles may not be combined from multiple Accounts in order to redeem an Enrich Award.
  6. The Online Enrich Award is not available for Infant.
  7. The Online Enrich Award is restricted to only ADULTS and CHILDREN.
  8. Travel Awards, are subject to seat capacity control, which may limit the number of seats available for Enrich Awards on Malaysia Airlines and Other restrictions may apply during certain periods throughout the year. Travel Awards, will only be issued for a confirmed reservation. Open dated or waitlist tickets are not allowed.

Sharing Enrich Awards

  1. Members may redeem Travel Awards in the name of family members and friends.
  2. Travel Awards redeemed in the name of family members and friends should be booked and ticketed following the same rules as for the Enrich Member.

Online Travel Award Ticketing Rules

  1. Online Travel Award tickets on Malaysia Airlines may be issued in ticketing classes L/V/S/K/M/Y/B/H on Economy Class, ’J/C/D’ on Business Class and ‘F/A’ on First Class.
  2. A passenger traveling on an Online Travel Award is not allowed to make stopover per one way or return trip journey.
  3. For the purpose of connection, a passenger traveling on an Enrich Award is allowed to make one transfer at an intermediate point on a one-way journey, and one transfer for the outbound and one transfer for the inbound for a return trip journey.
  4. A passenger is not permitted to transfer at an intermediate point more than twice on a single Enrich Award.
  5. Origin or turnaround point may not be used as an intermediate point in a one way or return trip journey
  6. Backtracking is not permitted except required by route restrictions. Backtracking occurs when a journey does not continue in the same direction where it began. An itinerary continuing a backtracking sector not required by route restrictions may require separate tickets.
  7. Only point – to - point one way and mirror like return Online Enrich Awards are allowed.
  8. Route restrictions may apply and will not be available for Online Enrich Awards.
  9. Stopover, open-jaw is not permitted for Online Enrich Award.
  10. Mixed Class is not permitted for one-way journey for Online Enrich Award.
  11. Mixed class is only permitted for return trip with the entire outbound journey being valid only on one class-type and entire inbound journey in the other class-type.
  12. Enrich Miles are deducted from the Enrich Member's Account when an Online Enrich Award is issued and not when a reservation or request is made.
  13. All taxes, fees and surcharges are the responsibility of the Enrich Member/user of the Enrich Award and are due at the time of issuance, ticketing and/or at departure.
  14. Travel Awards are valid for 6 months from the date of the first outbound travel, unless otherwise specified. Once an Enrich Award expires it cannot be re-issued or extended.
  15. Travel Awards, may only be utilised for travel on a Malaysia Airlines' scheduled flight.
  16. Redemptions for mixed carrier Travel Awards, are not allowed; travel must be solely on Malaysia Airlines.
  17. Travel Awards are valid for travel on Malaysia Airlines (excluding charter services on MH4000 series and code share services on MH9000 series). Redemption on MASWings and Firefly not permitted.
  18. Once a Travel Award is issued it is considered used if not utilised for the flight reserved. Enrich Miles cannot be re-deposited nor can taxes, fees and surcharges paid be refunded.
  19. The origin and destination points for one-way travel must be different when utilising a one-way Enrich Award. For return trip Enrich Awards, the outbound origin and inbound destination must be the same.
  20. In the event of a flight cancellation or flight rescheduling, passengers travelling on an Enrich Award will be re-routed as per the rules used for fare paying passengers.
  21. Enrich Online Awards may be reissued only for travel on the same airline, by the same person and provided no part of the Enrich Award has been utilised. Additional Enrich Miles may be required for any change in the itinerary. If the new itinerary requires fewer Enrich Miles, the excess Enrich Miles will not be refunded. A re-issuance fee will apply. The re-issued Enrich Award will have the same expiry date as the original Enrich Award. The reissuance can only be done at any nearest Malaysia Airlines Ticket offices.
  22. Online Travel Awards (one way and return trip) on Malaysia Airlines operated flights may be booked in all available class of service as specified under item 1of the ‘Online Travel Award Ticketing Rules’. Once issued, Enrich Awards may not be transferred or the Enrich Miles re-deposited into an Enrich Member’s Account.

Online Travel Award Ticketing Rules

  1. Enrich and Malaysia Airlines reserve the right to make changes to the Enrich Award Chart, and to the number of Enrich Miles required for an Enrich Award.

  1. Cash plus Miles redemption for tickets (“award tickets”) can only be made online at malaysiaairlines.com
  2. Cash plus Miles redemption facility cannot be availed at Call Center and ticketing counters at the airports or at any other Malaysia Airlines city offices.
  3. All award tickets must be on confirmed seat basis. Not applicable for waitlist or open tickets.
  4. This facility is not available on Partner Airlines and/or oneworld Airlines.
  5. Enrich members must login to his/her Enrich membership account online as part of the Cash plus Miles redemption ticketing process.
  6. Cash plus Miles redemption is available on one-way and return itineraries only.
  7. A minimum of 1000 miles are required to be eligible for this Cash plus Miles facility (per member and per transaction). There is no fixed conversion between the fare charged and the Enrich Miles redeemed. The exact amount may vary due to the conversion rate.
  8. Cash plus Miles redemption Award is not available for multi-city bookings ie. stopover, open-jaw.
  9. Enrich miles under the Cash plus Miles redemption offer will be redeemed per sector, per member, from the respective membership account. Enrich miles required to be redeemed for a Child Ticket will be the same as for an Adult ticket.
  10. Cash plus Miles redemption ticket cannot be used nor booked for infants.
  11. This facility is subject to seats being available on eligible class(es) of travel on Malaysia Airlines. Malaysia Airlines reserves the right to change this class(es) without any prior notice.
  12. System will provide the lowest redemption miles at time of seat availability check and the actual total miles required will be reflected upon selecting and confirming the flights. The total miles shown after selecting the flights for the redemption, will apply.
  13. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in these Terms & Conditions, the number of Enrich Miles to be redeemed and the payment amount required to obtain a Cash plus Miles redemption ticket are subject to change with or without a prior notice. Accordingly, the number of Enrich Miles and amount of money quoted on the website when booking a Cash plus Miles are only valid at the time quoted. If a booking is delayed or not completed when quoted, the number of Enrich Miles and payment amounts quoted for the requested itinerary, may change.
  14. In the event member wishes to change his/her flight route for an unutilized award redemption ticket, member must have sufficient number of miles required that is applicable for the change of routing. Member is not allowed to purchase the additional miles by cash or credit card
  15. Members are NOT allowed to combine miles from different accounts to redeem an Award ticket.
  16. All award tickets must be redeemed from one single account and the miles, if change in routing requires more miles, the additional miles required must be redeemed from the same account.
  17. Member will NOT earn miles for the cash value paid of the Cash plus Miles redemption
  18. Cash plus Miles redemption ticket cannot be transferred after issuance
  19. Miles redeemed for a cash plus miles award ticket is NOT refundable. However, the cash portion is refundable by credit to the credit card used for the award ticket and is subject to a refund fee charge.
  20. Miles cannot be converted to or exchanged for money
  21. Cash plus Miles redemption is not applicable for group (ten and more passengers) travel bookings.

    • If rerouting involves lower miles, the balance miles are NOT refundable or exchanged with cash.

  24. Any other taxes, fees, surcharges as specified at the time of ticketing will be payable by the member.
  25. Enrich reserves the right to change the price of the ticket and / or number of Enrich Miles to be redeemed or impose additional restrictions with or without prior notice.
  26. The use of Enrich miles against this offer is subject to the Flight Redemption Terms and Conditions, all other terms and conditions of the Enrich programme. The terms and conditions of the Enrich programme are subject to change with or without notice.
  27. All other Terms and conditions of online booking and e-ticketing and other applicable regulations will apply apart from the one mentioned above
  28. In the event of any discrepancy between these Cash + Miles terms and conditions with other terms and conditions, the terms and conditions of this Cash + Miles shall prevail.

It is acknowledged that personal data collected and processed in this EEF is obtained voluntarily and with your consent. However, MAS may disclose the data collected for a purpose directly related to the purpose it was disclosed at the time of collection to a third party such as other MAS affiliates and subsidiaries or in circumstances specified in the MAS Personal Data Privacy Policy as published at http://www.malaysiaairlines.com/uk/en/footer/privacy-policy.html. MAS should not be held liable for any damage caused as a result of the collection, use, disclosure, loss, misuse, modification, unauthorised or accidental access, alteration or destruction of your personal data unless the actions of MAS were deliberate or grossly negligent.
