How to pay for flight tickets
Malaysia Airlines accepts various payment methods for online flight tickets:
- Credit/Debit card (MasterCard, Visa)
- Charge card (American Express)
- Pay Later
- PayPal
- Direct debit (Maybank2u.com, CIMB Clicks)
These options will be displayed on the secure payment page when you checkout.
Pay Later (MHmobile only)
Our Pay Later option allows you to conveniently book a flight online and pay for your ticket at our outlets or by contacting our call centres. This gives you the flexibility of paying by cash, credit card and other payment options accepted by our ticketing offices and call centre.
Terms
- Transactions must be in MYR (Malaysian Ringgit) only.
- Payment must be made within 24 hours of booking. The booking is not valid until the payment is completed and an e-ticket is issued.
- If payment is not received within 24 hours, the booking will be automatically cancelled.
- Payments can be made at all Malaysia Airlines ticket offices in Malaysia. You may also opt to pay by credit card via our 24-hour call centre at 1 300 88 3000.
- A service fee will be charged: MYR 30 for domestic flights (within Malaysia) and MYR 60 for international flights.
- You need to be a registered user of our Internet booking service and book 7 days in advance.
PayPal (MHmobile only)
What is PayPal
Think of PayPal as a digital wallet, where you can more securely store your financial and personal information. With PayPal, you have the freedom and flexibility to pay the way you want, even on your mobile, while keeping your financial information more secure.
How to pay with PayPal
All you need is to select your flight login with your PayPal account and pay in two clicks.
You can choose how you want to pay – simple set up your payment method by adding your bank account, debit or credit card details. Plus you can still accumulate credit card points.

You can register for a free PayPal account and only takes a few minutes.
Payment via PayPal on MHmobile is currently valid only for the following currencies: MYR, NZD, EUR, AUD, HKD, SGD, JPY, GBP and USD.
Maybank2u.com & CIMB Clicks
If you are a registered user of Maybank2u.com and CIMB Clicks electronic banking service, you can enjoy the convenience of online booking just like any credit card holder.
This direct debit facility is secure and simple to use. Once you've made your flight reservation online, all you need to do is select your preferred payment method. Please note this facility is available only for transactions in MYR currency.

Malaysia Airlines takes great effort in ensuring the security of your online transactions. Learn more about these security measures below:
1. MasterCard SecureCode and Verified by Visa
If you’re paying with a credit or debit card, MasterCard SecureCode and Verified by Visa add another layer of security to your online transactions, helping protect against unauthorised use of your card.
During checkout, you will be greeted with a personal message that you have previously set – this helps ensure that you are not dealing with a fraudulent website. Next, you will be asked for your own secret password to confirm your identity.
If you have not yet registered for MasterCard SecureCode or Verified by Visa, you may be asked to do so during the checkout process. You will then be redirected to your bank's website to complete the registration.

2. VeriSign
Our website is a trusted VeriSign secure site, which is an independent, industry-recognised system that allows you to validate the ownership and security of any website.
By using the VeriSign SSL digital certificate, all sensitive data you send through, e.g. your name, address, and credit card number, are encrypted and converted into code before being securely transmitted over the Internet.
In simple terms, your personal information is constantly protected from interception and misuse by unwanted parties whenever you perform a transaction on our website.

3. 3-D Secure
Provided free by your bank, 3-D Secure provides additional protection and security whenever you use your credit card for Internet purchases.
The service involves a simple verification process using a personal message and password during checkout. The personal message ensures that you are dealing directly with your bank and not a ‘phishing' site, while your password will help confirm your identity.
If you have not enrolled for 3-D Secure, you will be required to log on to your respective bank's website to register before you can complete your online booking.
