Enrich Partners
An Enrich Partner is a legal entity with whom Enrich has an agreement that allows Enrich Members to accrue and/or redeem Enrich Miles with as defined by Enrich from time to time. Enrich Partner categories include but are not limited to the following activities;

fly with Malaysia Airlines and Enrich Airline Partners on qualifying fares
stay with Enrich hotel partners at qualifying rates
pay for qualifying purchases using an Enrich credit or charge card partner
use the qualifying services of an Enrich telecommunication partner
rent a car at a qualifying rate from an Enrich car rental partner
make a qualified purchase with Temptations by Malaysia Airlines
purchase a qualifying Golden Holidays vacation package


Airline Partner
An airline that participates in the Enrich programme.


Non-Airline Partner
A legal entity, other than an airline, that participates in the Enrich programme. Non-Airline Partners include but are not limited to banks, credit/charge cards, hotels, telecommunications service providers, car rental companies, Golden Holidays, Temptations Inflight Shopping and retail establishments.


Enrich Award
The generic term used to refer to Free Travel Awards, Companion Travel Awards, Upgrade Travel Awards, Golden Holidays Packages Awards, Temptations Vouchers, Excess Baggage Vouchers and Golden Lounge Access Vouchers available from the Enrich programme.


Free Travel Award
A free ticket redeemed for travel on Malaysia Airlines and qualifying Enrich Airline Partners on Economy Class, Business Class and First Class. Free Travel Awards follow the terms and conditions of the airline providing carriage.


Companion Travel Award
A free ticket redeemed that must be used in conjunction with a qualified paid ticket for travel on Malaysia Airlines operated flights in Business Class or First Class, and which must follow the same itinerary as the paid ticket.


Upgrade Travel Award
A free upgrade redeemed from Economy Class to Business Class or Business Class to First Class on Malaysia Airlines operated flights when a qualifying paid ticket is purchased.


Account / Enrich Account
An Account is formed when an individual is accepted as a Member of the Enrich programme. The Account will be maintained for as long as the individual remains an Enrich Member in good standing. The Account will be used for the purpose of tracking the Enrich Member's activity in the programme and the number of unredeemed miles the individual currently maintains.


Great Circle Distance
Method of calculation used to determine the number of actual flight miles an Enrich Member will earn on a qualifying flight with Malaysia Airlines. The Great Circle Distance is the shortest distance between any two points on the globe as measured over the earth's surface.


Enrich Miles
Enrich Miles are the currency of the Enrich programme, and are the miles that may be used to redeem for Enrich Awards. Enrich Members may accrue Enrich Miles when they use the qualifying services or products of Malaysia Airlines or an Enrich Partner.


Flight Miles
Flight Miles are the actual distance traveled in miles, using the Great Circle Distance calculation, while flying with Malaysia Airlines or an Enrich Airline Partner.


Elite Miles
Elite Miles are used to track an Enrich Member's qualification towards Enrich Silver and Enrich Gold Tier Status. Elite Miles will only be accrued on Malaysia Airlines Economy Class, Business Class and First Class qualifying fares. Elite Miles may not be used toward the redemption of Enrich Awards.


Platinum Miles
Platinum Miles are used to track an Enrich Member's qualification towards Enrich Platinum Tier Status. Platinum Miles will only be accrued on qualifying Malaysia Airlines Business Class and First Class fares. Platinum Miles may not be used toward the redemption of Enrich Awards.


Elite Tier Bonus Miles
Elite Tier Bonus Miles can only be accrued by Enrich Silver, Enrich Gold and Enrich Platinum Members. Elite Tier Bonus Miles are accrued based on flight activity and other activity as defined by Enrich. Elite Tier Bonus Miles do not count towards elite tier status qualification. Elite Tier Bonus Miles may be used toward the redemption of Enrich Awards.


Class of Service Bonus Miles
Class of Service Bonus Miles are accrued when an Enrich Member travels Malaysia Airlines in Business Class, First Class or other class of service as defined by Enrich. Class of Service Bonus Miles count towards Elite Tier Status qualification as defined under Elite Miles and Platinum Miles. Class of Service Bonus Miles may be used toward the redemption of Enrich Awards.


Bonus Miles
Bonus Miles may be offered for using qualifying products and services of Malaysia Airlines, Enrich and Enrich Partners. Bonus Miles are offered for a defined period of time and may not be offered to all Enrich Members in all locations. Bonus Miles do not count towards Elite Tier Status qualification but may be used toward the redemption of Enrich Awards.


Elite Sectors
Elite Sectors are used to track an Enrich Member's qualification towards Enrich Silver and Enrich Gold Tier Status. An Elite Sector is a flight from origin to destination which carries a single flight number. Elite Sectors will only be accrued on Malaysia Airlines operated flights on Economy, Business Class and First Class. Elite Sectors may not be used toward the redemption of Enrich Awards.


Platinum Sectors
Platinum Sectors are used to track an Enrich Member's qualification towards Enrich Platinum Tier Status. A Platinum Sector is a flight from origin to destination which carries a single flight number. Platinum Sectors will only be accrued on Malaysia Airlines operated flights on Business Class and First Class. Platinum Sectors may not be used toward the redemption of Enrich Awards.


Membership Tier
The generic term used to refer to Enrich Blue, Enrich Silver, Enrich Gold and/or Enrich Platinum status.


Elite Tier Status
The generic term used to refer to Enrich Silver, Enrich Gold and/or Enrich Platinum status.


Member / Enrich Member
A member of the Enrich programme and may refer to any member holding Enrich Blue, Enrich Silver, Enrich Gold and/or Enrich Platinum status, as the case may be.


Activity
An Activity refers to an Enrich Member's interaction with Malaysia Airlines or an Enrich Partner in which Enrich Miles are accrued or redeemed.


Personalised Award
An Enrich Award that has been customised by Enrich for the Member.




B. How To Become A Member

Enrolment

1. Membership in Enrich is free and open to anyone aged 2 years and above in countries and territories where such programmes are legal. Individuals under the age of 15 years must have parental or legal guardian consent to enrol in the programme.
2. Acceptance of membership will be at the discretion of Malaysia Airlines. Membership is not confirmed and mileage will not be recognised until the membership form has been processed and approved.
3. Corporations and/or other legal entities are not allowed to enrol or be a Member of Enrich.
4. An Enrich Member may only maintain one (1) Enrich Account which will serve all business, personal and other needs. This account is not transferable.
5. In the event an Enrich Member is found to have actively enrolled more than once and has more than one account, Enrich will only recognize one (1) account. Enrich reserve the right to credit or forfeit the respective Enrich Miles in the duplicate accounts.
6. Enrich Member's will receive their membership pack and permanent plastic membership card upon making their first accrual activity with Malaysia Airlines or an Enrich Partner.
7. Upon enrolment an Enrich Member will be accorded the benefits and recognition of an Enrich Blue Member. Malaysia Airlines and Enrich will not entertain any requests for an upgrade to Elite Status if the Enrich Member has not met the set qualifying criteria.
8. Any taxes imposed by a government or governing body as a result of programme participation are the responsibility of the Enrich Member.
9. If an enrollment application is found to have insufficient or incorrect data, the application will not be processed.



C. How To Earn Enrich Miles

General


1. Enrich Miles may only be accrued after enrolment in the Enrich programme. However, qualifying travel on Malaysia Airlines within 60 days of enrolment is eligible for Enrich Miles accrual by submitting an Enrich Missing Miles Claim online at the Enrich Online website. Enrich members may not submit claims for Enrich Miles retroactively for non-Malaysia Airlines partner activities prior to enrolment.
2. There is no minimum Enrich Miles guarantee. For qualifying flights with Malaysia Airlines and Enrich Airline Partners, Enrich Members will earn the actual number of miles traveled as calculated using the Great Circle Distance calculation, plus any applicable Enrich Miles.
3. To ensure crediting of Enrich Miles, the Enrich Member must quote their Enrich membership number at time of reservation and present their signed membership card when using the services of Malaysia Airlines and/or Enrich Partners. Failure to do so will result in non-crediting of Enrich Miles. If an Enrich Member presents a temporary membership card, they must also provide either their NRIC or passport that matches the name used for enrolment.
4. Each Enrich Partner may have different qualification criteria for awarding Enrich Miles. It is the responsibility of the Enrich Member to check with the Enrich Partner if Enrich Miles will be accrued for their activity with that Enrich Partner.
5. Enrich Miles may only be accrued once per Activity and credited to only one frequent flyer programme. The crediting of Enrich Miles to multiple frequent flyer programmes is not allowed. If a Member is found to have accrued miles in multiple frequent flyer programmes from a single Activity, Enrich has the right to close that Enrich Member's Account and void all Enrich Miles in the Account.
6. Enrich Miles for qualified Activities will be accrued by the Enrich Member using the product or service of Malaysia Airlines and Enrich Partners regardless of who paid for the product or service.
7. Any products or services of Malaysia Airlines and Enrich Airline Partners purchased but not used will not accrue Enrich Miles. Enrich Mileage accrual for Non-Airline Partners is subject to the terms and conditions of Enrich and the Non-Airline Partner.
8. The transfer of Enrich Miles from one frequent flyer programme to another is not permitted.
9. The pooling of Enrich Miles by more than one Enrich Member into a single Account is not permitted. Enrich Miles may only be earned and credited to an Account by the person whose name the Account is registered.
10. Malaysia Airlines and Enrich reserve the right to close an Account and void all Enrich Miles in that Account, if the Account is found to have accrued Enrich Miles fraudulently.

Earning Enrich Miles With Malaysia Airlines

1. Enrich Members may accrue Enrich Miles on Malaysia Airlines Economy Class, Business Class and First Class qualifying fares.
2. Enrich Members will not accrue Enrich Miles for the following services; Enrich Awards, rural air services and web fares (T class), industry discounts (R/I/N class), agency discounts, group fares (G sub class), special promotion fares student fares (Z class), free redemption/award tickets, Kuala Lumpur / Singapore shuttle service, charter flights (MH 4000 series), joint services, all MH9000 series code-share flights operated by a partner carrier within its domestic network in Australia and with British Midland in the United Kingdom/Europe, international code-share flights bearing the partner carrier flight designator and joint operation routes operated by other airlines.
3. Enrich Miles can only be earned once per qualifying flight.
4. Enrich Miles will only be credited to the Enrich Member's Account after the flight has been taken. Enrich Miles will be credited within one week of the qualifying flight provided the Enrich Member has presented their membership number during check in and complied with the requirements of section 'How to Earn Enrich Miles'.
5. In the event a flight is canceled due to operational reasons and Malaysia Airlines transfers the Enrich Member to another airline, the Enrich Member will accrue Enrich Miles as per their original Malaysia Airlines itinerary.

Earning Enrich Miles With Enrich Partners

1. Enrich Members may accrue Enrich Miles when using the qualifying services and products of Enrich Partners.
2. Any fees imposed by Enrich Partners are the responsibility of the Enrich Member.
3. Enrich Partner programme participation dates may vary and Enrich Miles will be awarded according to the participating dates.
4. Airline Partners may have different mileage accrual qualification criteria than Malaysia Airlines, and it is the Enrich Member's responsibility to clarify these criteria prior to purchasing a ticket and traveling with an Airline Partner.
5. Non-Airline Partners
  i. Hotel: Enrich Members may earn Enrich Miles for qualifying hotel stays. Enrich Miles will only be awarded one time per stay regardless of the number of days or rooms booked. Not all stays qualify for accrual of Enrich Miles. Enrich Members are advised to confirm with hotel at time of booking if stay will accrue Enrich Miles. Enrich Miles will be credited to Enrich Member's account within 6 to 8 weeks of hotel stay.
  ii. Credit/Charge Card: Enrich Members may accrue Enrich Miles by converting their credit/charge card points to Enrich Miles. The card issuer's terms and conditions and programme rules apply. Enrich Members must contact the relevant credit/charge card partner directly to request a transfer. Allow 2 weeks from request of transfer for the transaction to be completed and Enrich Miles to be credited to the Enrich Member's Account.
  iii. Car Rental: Enrich Members may earn Enrich Miles for qualifying car rentals. Enrich Miles will only be awarded one time per rental regardless of the number of cars rented or rental days. Enrich Member's are advised to contact the individual car rental company for specific terms and conditions on how to accrue Enrich Miles. Enrich Miles will be credited to the Enrich Member's Account within 6 to 8 weeks of car rental.
  iv. Telecommunication: Enrich Members may earn Enrich Miles when making qualifying international calls. Enrich Member's are advised to contact the individual service provider for specific terms and conditions on how to accrue Enrich Miles.
  v. Temptations: Enrich Members may earn Enrich Miles on qualifying Temptations purchase. Refer to the Temptations inflight shopping catalogue for mileage accrual information. Enrich Miles will be credited to the Enrich Member's Account within 6 to 8 weeks of purchase.
  vi. Lifestyle: Enrich Members may earn Enrich Miles when making qualifying purchases with Enrich Lifestyle Partners. Refer to the Enrich website for a complete list of Lifestyle Partners and mileage accrual terms. Enrich Miles will be credited to the Enrich Member's Account within 6 to 8 weeks of transaction.
  vii. Golden Holidays: Enrich Members may earn Enrich Miles when purchasing qualifying travel packages from Golden Holidays. To accrue Enrich Miles with Golden Holidays, Enrich Members are required to submit their Golden Holidays receipt of purchase to the Enrich Service Centre upon consumption of the Golden Holidays Package. Enrich Miles will be credited to the Enrich Member's Account within 6 to 8 weeks of the submission.



D. Managing Your Enrich Account

Validity of Enrich Miles

1. All Enrich Miles, Elite Miles and/or Elite Sectors and Platinum Miles and/or Platinum Sectors accrued by Enrich Members are automatically credited to the Enrich Member's Account.
2. Enrich Miles are valid for the year in which they are earned plus an additional three years and will expire at the end of the third year. For example, Enrich Miles credited to an Account between the period of 1 January - 31 December 2006 will expire on 31 December 2009.
3. Enrich members are advised to redeem their Enrich Miles prior to the expiry of their Enrich Miles
4. Enrich Miles expiring at the end of the year may be extended till the end of the following year at the cost of RM 0.02 plus an administrative fee of RM 40 per transaction. The miles extension feature is only applicable to members from October of each calendar year until July of the following year.
5. Enrich Miles can only be extended once.
6. Elite Miles and/or Elite Sectors and Platinum Miles and/or Platinum Sectors are tracked for the sole purpose of calculating an Enrich Member's qualification towards Elite Tier Status. Elite Miles and Platinum Miles may not be used towards the redemption of Enrich Awards nor can they be transferred, extended, purchased, sold or given to another member. Elite Miles and/or Elite Sectors and Platinum Miles and/or Platinum Sectors are valid only in the calendar year in which they are earned and will expire at the end of that year.

Validity of Enrich Miles

1. An account statement will be sent quarterly to Enrich Members who have had activity during the previous three months and to Enrich Members who have Enrich Miles expiring in the following quarter.
2. Enrich Members are able to check their account status online by logging onto Enrich Online.


E. Redeeming Enrich Miles and Enrich Awards

 

General Guidelines

1. Enrich Members under the age of 15 years must have written consent from a parent or guardian in order to redeem Enrich Miles. Only the Enrich Member may request to redeem Enrich Miles from their Account; no other person or entity may request for such a transaction. Enrich Miles may be redeemed as soon as they are credited to an Enrich Members Account.
2. To claim an Enrich Award, the Enrich Member must have sufficient Enrich Miles in their account.
3. Enrich Miles required to redeem an Enrich Award must be redeemed from a single Account. Enrich Miles may not be combined from multiple Accounts in order to redeem an Enrich Award.
4. A child or infant is treated the same as an adult and requires the same number of Enrich Miles for an Enrich Award.
5. When making a Free Travel Award, Companion Travel Award or Upgrade Travel Award reservation, the Enrich Member must clearly indicate that Enrich Miles will be redeemed for this ticket. Failure to do so may result in the reservation being cancelled and no Enrich Award being issued.
6. Free Travel Awards, Companion Travel Awards and Upgrade Travel Awards are subject to seat capacity control, which may limit the number of seats available for Enrich Awards on Malaysia Airlines and Enrich Airline Partners. Other restrictions may apply during certain periods throughout the year. Free Travel Awards, Companion Travel Awards and Upgrade Travel Awards will only be issued for a confirmed reservation. Open dated or waitlist tickets are not allowed. Travel agencies are not allowed to issue Enrich Awards. If the Enrich Award is being collected by someone other than the Enrich Member, an authorised person may be nominated to collect the Enrich Award. This person must bring along the following:
  i. the signed membership card or a copy of both sides of the membership card of the Enrich Member whose account the Enrich Miles will be deducted from;
  ii. a photo copy of the NRIC or passport of the Enrich Member whose account the Enrich Miles will be deducted from;
  iii. an original letter of authorisation signed by the Enrich Member whose account the Enrich Miles will be deducted; and
  iv. The authorized person's own photo ID or NRIC.
7. Enrich Miles are deducted from the Enrich Member's Account when an Enrich Award is issued and not when a reservation or request is made.
8. Free Travel Awards, Companion Travel Awards and Upgrade Travel Awards must be issued before the given ticketing deadline otherwise the reservation will be cancelled. All other Enrich Awards must be utilized before the redemption deadline or they will be cancelled.
9. All taxes, fees and surcharges are the responsibility of the Enrich Member/user of the Enrich Award and are due at the time of issuance, ticketing and/or at departure.
10. Enrich Awards, industry discount, agency discount, shuttle tickets, free tickets, domestic Malaysia promotional fares and tickets issued in G/GV4/I/L/R/S/T/V/Z booking classes may not be used for the redemption of an Upgrade Travel Award or Companion Travel Award.
11. Upgrade Travel Awards are subject to the rules of the purchased fare.
12. Free Travel Awards, Companion Travel Awards and Upgrade Travel Awards are valid for 6 months from the date of the first outbound travel, unless otherwise specified. Once an Enrich Award expires it cannot be re-issued or extended.
13. Free Travel Awards, Companion Travel Awards and Upgrade Travel Awards are valid for travel on Malaysia Airlines (excluding charter services on MH4000 series and code share services on MH9000 series). Only Free Travel Awards are available on Enrich Airline Partners; Companion Travel Awards and Upgrade Travel Awards are not available on Enrich Airline Partners.
14. Once a Free Travel Award, Companion Travel Award, Upgrade Travel Award and Golden Holidays Award is issued it is considered used if not utilised for the flight reserved. Enrich Miles cannot be re-deposited nor can taxes, fees and surcharges paid be refunded.
15. In the event of a flight cancellation or flight rescheduling, passengers travelling on an Enrich Award will be re-routed as per the rules used for fare paying passengers.
16. Free Travel Awards (one way and return trip) and Upgrade Travel Awards on Malaysia Airlines operated flights may be booked in more than one class of service (mixed class travel). The number of miles required to redeem for mixed class travel is based on flight sectors and calculated using the Redemption calculator in Enrich Online.
17. Once issued, Enrich Awards may not be transferred or the Enrich Miles re-deposited into an Enrich Member’s Account. A person's use of an Enrich Award is subject to the conditions set by Malaysia Airlines, Enrich or the issuing Enrich Partner.
18. Free Travel Awards, Companion Travel Awards and Upgrade Travel Awards issued on behalf of an airline are subject to the normal rules outlined in each airline's Conditions of Carriage, copies of which may be obtained directly from the airline.
19. In the event that an issued Free Travel Award, Companion Travel Award or Upgrade Travel Award is lost or stolen, Enrich will reissue the Free Travel Award, Companion Travel Award or Upgrade Travel Award upon the passenger submitting a signed MAS Declaration of Indemnity Form and police report in accordance with local law and provided the Travel Award has not expired. A service charge will apply to any Free Travel Award, Companion Travel Award or Upgrade Travel Award re-issued and is payable before a new Enrich Award will be issued. Enrich Miles may not be re-deposited in an Enrich Member’s Account in the case of a lost or stolen Enrich Award.
20. A new Free Travel Award, Companion Travel Award or Upgrade Travel Award issued pursuant to item 22 above must be of the same value and follow the same itinerary as the original Enrich Award.

Sharing Enrich Awards

1. Members may redeem Free Travel Awards, Companion Travel Awards and Upgrade Travel Awards in the name of family members and friends.
2. Free Travel Awards, Companion Travel Awards and Upgrade Travel Awards redeemed in the name of family members and friends should be booked and ticketed following the same rules as for the Enrich Member.

Enrich Award Redemption on Malaysia Airlines and Airline Partners

1. Fare calculation rules for Free Travel Awards, Companion Travel Awards and Upgrade Travel Awards are different from those for travel on paid tickets.
2. Free Travel Awards, Companion Travel Awards and Upgrade Travel Awards may only be utilised for travel on a Malaysia Airlines' and/or Airline Partner's scheduled flight.
3. Mixed carrier Free Travel Awards, Companion Travel Awards and Upgrade Travel Awards are not allowed; travel must be solely on one participating carrier. Other airline travel must be ticketed separately.
4. Enrich and Malaysia Airlines reserve the right to make changes to the Enrich Award Chart, and to the number of Enrich Miles required for an Enrich Award.
5. A passenger traveling on a Free Travel Award is allowed to make one stopover per one way or return trip journey. A stopover occurs when a passenger arrives at an intermediate point and is not scheduled to depart within 24 hours of arrival for international flights and 12 hours for domestic flights. Companion Travel Awards and Upgrade Travel Awards follow the rules of the paid ticket.
6. A passenger traveling on a Free Travel Award is allowed to make one turnaround open-jaw per return trip journey. A turnaround open-jaw occurs when the destination point of the outward trip is different from the starting point of the return trip. Open-jaw travel is not allowed on a one-way journey.
7. A passenger is not permitted to transfer at an intermediate point more than twice on a single Enrich Award.
8. When utilising an Enrich Award and there is a sector in the itinerary which does not offer the class of travel redeemed for, a lower class of travel will be extended for the affected sector without any Enrich Miles adjustment.
9. For the purpose of connection, a passenger traveling on an Enrich Award is allowed to make one transfers at an intermediate point on a one-way journey, and one transfers for the outbound and one transfers for the inbound for a return trip journey.
10. Origin or turnaround point may not be used as an intermediate point in a one way or return trip journey.
11. The origin and destination points for one-way travel must be different when utilising a one-way Enrich Award. For return trip Enrich Awards, the outbound origin and inbound destination must be the same.
12. Backtracking is not permitted except as required by route restrictions. Backtracking occurs when a journey does not continue in the same direction where it began. An itinerary continuing a backtracking sector not required by route restrictions may require separate tickets.
13. Only point-to-point return Enrich Awards are allowed on Enrich Airline Partners.
14. Companion Travel Awards, Upgrade Travel Awards and Excess Baggage Vouchers are not redeemable on Enrich Airline Partners.
15. Stopover, open-jaw, one-way and mixed class travel is not permitted when using an Enrich Award on an Enrich Airline Partner. A maximum of two transfers in each direction are permitted.
16. Enrich Awards with the exception of Excess Baggage Vouchers, Golden Lounge Access Vouchers and Temptations Vouchers may be re-issued but only for travel on the same airline, by the same person and provided no part of the Enrich Award has been utilised. Additional Enrich Miles may be required for any change in the itinerary. If the new itinerary requires fewer Enrich Miles, the excess Enrich Miles will not be refunded. A re-issuance fee will apply as set out in the Administration Fees Table. The re-issued Enrich Award will have the same expiry date as the original Enrich Award. A passenger travelling with Malaysia Airlines on an international Enrich Award may upgrade from a lower class of service to a higher class of service by paying a surcharge with the following criteria;
  A passenger may upgrade from Economy Class to Business Class or from Business Class to First Class.
  A surcharge of 50% of a normal full fare Business Class ticket on the applicable one way international sector is payable.
  Upgrading from Economy Class to First Class is not allowed.
  Prior booking on the higher class of service is not permitted. Seats for upgrade by paying a surcharge are available on a space available basis.
  Upgrading on domestic Malaysia flights is not permitted.
  Enrich Miles will not be accrued.
  Enrich Award travel on Enrich Airline Partners must be booked through the Malaysia Airlines Call Centre or any Malaysia Airlines offices.

Additional Rules For Companion Travel Awards

1. Enrich Members must first make their own flight reservations and then call Malaysia Airlines to make a Companion Travel Award reservation.
2. Travel agents may issue the purchased ticket used in conjunction with the Companion Travel Award. However, reservations for and issuing of the Companion Travel Award must be made through Malaysia Airlines city office.
3. The purchased ticket must be presented at the time the Companion Travel Award is issued.
4. Enrich Miles, Elite Miles and/or Elite Sectors and Platinum Miles and/or Platinum Sectors will be accrued on the purchased ticket. Enrich Miles, Elite Miles and/or Elite Sectors and Platinum Miles and/or Platinum Sectors will not be accrued on the Companion Travel Award.
5. Companion Travel Awards are only available on Malaysia Airlines operated flights, and only for Business Class and First Class travel.
6. A Companion Travel Award is valid only for a passenger travelling together on exactly the same flights, dates and in the same class of service for the entire itinerary.
7. Only one Companion Travel Award is permitted for each purchased ticket.
8. Any change, reissue or revalidation requires both the purchased ticket and the Companion Travel Award to be presented together.

Additional Rules For Upgrade Travel Awards

1. Enrich Members’ must first purchase a ticket from Malaysia Airlines or a travel agent before calling Malaysia Airlines to make an Upgrade Travel Award reservation.
2. Travel agents may issue the purchased ticket used in conjunction with the Upgrade Travel Award. However, reservations and issuing of the Upgrade Travel Award must be made through Malaysia Airlines.
3. Only a one-class upgrade is allowed per purchased ticket. A qualified Economy Class ticket may be upgraded to Business Class, and a qualified Business Class ticket may be upgraded to First Class.
4. On flights where there is only Economy Class and First Class, a ticket may be upgraded from Economy Class to First Class.
5. Upgrade Travel Awards are only available on Malaysia Airlines operated flights.
6. Enrich Miles will be accrued based on the class of travel purchased and not the class of travel flown.
7. Upgrade Travel Awards may be used for one-way and return trip tickets.
8. Only two sectors and one stopover/transfer are allowed with a one-way Upgrade Travel Award.
9. Fare rules and conditions of the purchased ticket apply to the Upgrade Travel Award.

Additional Rules For Golden Holiday Packages

1. Only Golden Holidays Packages with travel originating in Kuala Lumpur, for travel to international destinations, excluding Singapore and Brunei, are available for Enrich Awards.
2. Redemption for Golden Holiday Packages must be made through Malaysia Airlines.
3. The individual traveling on a Golden Holidays Package must follow the stated itinerary. Additional stopovers, open jaw tickets or transfers are not allowed.
4. Enrich Awards for Golden Holidays Packages are on a per person basis. If two or more individuals are traveling together on a Golden Holidays Package, each individual will be required to either redeem for an Enrich Award or purchase with cash the Golden Holidays Package.
5. An individual cannot combine Enrich Miles and cash for payment of a Golden Holidays Package.
6. All terms and conditions for purchased Golden Holidays Packages apply to Enrich Awards, with the exception that seats may only be booked in Q, M or L Class.
7. Airport tax and surcharge fees must be paid in cash.
8. Enrich Awards for Golden Holidays Packages are available for Enrich Members as well as family and friends.
9. You may upgrade from Economy Class to Golden Club Class if booked on a qualifying Economy Class seat and a qualifying Business Class seat is available. All terms and conditions of the Upgrade Travel Award apply.
10. Any changes made to a confirmed Enrich Award Golden Holidays Package may incur additional charges payable by the traveler.

Personalised Award Redemption Guidelines

1. All Enrich Members are eligible to redeem for Personalised Awards.
2. Requests for Personalised Awards must be made directly to Enrich, and must be requested at least 6 weeks in advance.
3. Personalised Awards are restricted to the products and services of Malaysia Airlines. Enrich and Malaysia Airlines make no promise that it can fulfill an Enrich Member’s request for a Personalised Award.
4. Malaysia Airlines will not entertain any request that is immoral, illegal or against religious beliefs. Malaysia Airlines reserves the right to refuse any request that it cannot fulfill.
5. Once issued, Personalised Awards may not be transferred, replaced or extended. Pre-determined arrangements will not be refunded.
6. The terms and conditions stated under General Guidelines of How To Redeem Enrich Miles apply to Personalised Awards.



F. How To Claim Missing Miles And Sectors

1. Fare calculation rules for Free Travel Awards, Companion Travel Awards and Upgrade Travel Awards are different from those for travel on paid tickets.
2. If Enrich Miles, Elite Miles and/or Enrich Sectors and Platinum Miles and/or Platinum Sectors do not appear in your Account 6 to 8 weeks after the qualifying transaction, Members may submit a claim at Enrich Online alternatively members may submit a Missing Miles Claim Form together with the following supporting documents, which must show the date and value of the qualifying transaction:
  for missing flight: a copy of the relevant ticket and original boarding pass
  for missing hotel stay: a copy of the hotel bill
  for missing car rental: a copy of the car rental agreement
  for others: a copy of the invoice, receipt or statement
3. Documents submitted for claims will not be returned.
4. A Missing Enrich Miles Claim Form must be submitted within 6 months from the date of the qualifying transaction. Requests for missing Enrich Miles, Elite Miles and/or Enrich Sectors and Platinum Miles and/or Platinum Sectors made more than 6 months after the qualifying transaction will not be entertained.

5. Requests will require verification by Enrich and Enrich Partners. If deemed a qualified transaction, the appropriate number of Enrich Miles will be credited to the Enrich Member's Account. Please allow 6 weeks for Enrich Miles to be reflected in the Account.



G. Elite Tier Status

1. Elite Tier Status will be awarded to an Enrich Member who qualifies for such status under guidelines set by Enrich.
2. Once a member achieves Elite Tier Status, they must re-qualify for such status, or a higher status, each year.
3. The membership term of an Elite Tier Status is the year in which the Enrich Member qualifies plus the period between 1 January to 31 December of the following year.
4. Failure to re-qualify for Elite Tier Status will result in the Enrich Member being reclassified to the next lower Membership Tier.



H. Closing Your Account

1. An Account that has 36 continuous months of inactivity will be closed.
2. An Enrich Member may choose to close their Account at any time with written notice; at which time any Enrich Miles, Elite Miles and/or Elite Sectors and Platinum Miles and/or Platinum Sectors in the Account will be cancelled.
3. An Enrich Member who chooses to close their Account may not transfer, donate or give away their Enrich Miles, Elite Miles and/or Elite Sectors, Platinum Miles and/or Platinum Sectors, Elite Tier Status or benefits they may be entitled to at that time.
4. An Account once closed (for any reason) will not be reinstated.
5. In the event of an Enrich Member's death, the Enrich Member’s Account will be closed. Upon written request and proof of death, any Enrich Miles in the deceased Enrich Member's Account may be transferred to the Account of the Enrich Member's spouse, children or parents with proof of relationship. The miles may be transferred to only one account and may not be divided amongst multiple Accounts. Elite Miles and/or Elite Sectors, Platinum Miles and/or Platinum Sectors and Elite Tier Status or benefits will not be transferred.

I. General Conditions

1. Malaysia Airlines may change the programme rules or benefits from time to time with or without prior notice, even though such changes may affect the number of Enrich Miles that may be accrued, or the value of Enrich Miles already accumulated.
2. An account that has no activity for 36 continuous months will be closed.
3. Malaysia Airlines has the right at any time, without limitation, to initiate any changes in the participating organisations, changes impacting the rules for earning or redeeming Enrich Miles, the award structure, the availability of awards, the rules for use of awards, the rules of qualification for different Membership Tiers and the features for special offers.
4. The ability to accrue Enrich Miles on participating carriers is contingent upon that carrier's continued participation in the Enrich programme.
5. Malaysia Airlines reserves the right to terminate the programme, or any part thereof, at any time with or without notice, even though such termination may affect the right to accrue Enrich Miles or redemption of awards.
6. The sale or barter of Enrich Miles, Enrich Awards or other benefits is prohibited and will result in the said items being forfeited or cancelled. In addition, the Enrich Member’s account may be suspended or closed and all Enrich Miles, Elite Miles and/or Elite Sectors and Platinum Miles and/or Platinum Sectors accrued therein forfeited. Violators may be liable for damages, litigation and transaction costs.
7. Without prejudice to or limiting any of its rights, Malaysia Airlines may with or without notice and for any reasons withdraw, suspend, cancel and/or terminate any membership and/or the Enrich card and/or any of the benefits and services thereby offered including but not limited to the forfeiture and cancellation of all accrued Enrich Miles, Elite Miles and/or Elite Sectors, Platinum Miles/Sectors and unused Enrich Awards, upon the occurrence of any or more of the following events:-
  i. accrual or redemption of Enrich Miles fraudulently;
  ii. engagement in any fraudulent activities under the programme;
  iii. the death or declaration of bankruptcy of an Enrich Member;
  iv. misuse or abuse of Enrich Awards;
  v. misrepresentation at any time of any information in any manner whatsoever;
  vi. misconduct by an Enrich Member including any displays of conduct deemed inappropriate by Malaysia Airlines in any dealings with Malaysia Airlines including with its employees, servants and agents;
  vii. failure to follow any programme policies and procedures;
  viii. failure to comply with any of these Terms and Conditions or the terms and conditions of any Enrich Partner, Airline Partner and Non-Airline Partner;
  ix. failure to comply with Malaysia Airlines’ General Conditions of Carriage for Passengers and Baggage and any other applicable rules and regulations;
 

The Enrich Member may also be held liable for all damages, litigation and transaction costs, including but not limited to Enrich Miles previously redeemed. Notwithstanding the listing of sub-paragraphs (i) until (ix) of Clause 7 above which are non-exhaustive, Malaysia Airlines shall be under no obligation to disclose or assign any reasons for the withdrawal, suspension, cancel and termination.

8. Enrich Members whose accounts have been terminated or cancelled for any reason may not reopen a new Account.
9. Enrich Members must report any suspected unauthorised activity from their account immediately. Failure to do so may result in the Enrich Member being held liable for the activity in question.
10. Enrich may disclose or share the personal data of Enrich Members with Enrich Partners and suppliers, whether in Malaysia or otherwise, for purposes of marketing and communication and may include but not limited to:
  i. for purposes of provision of and/or promotion of services and/or products made available to Enrich Members through the Enrich programme; and/or
  ii. for purposes of conducting research, including but not limited to evaluation and auditing of its existing and/or proposed services; and/or
  iii. for purposes of maintaining and operating membership accounts.
11. Enrich Members may expressly request that Malaysia Airlines not use their personal data for the abovementioned purposes. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Enrich Members hereby consent to their personal data being transferred by Malaysia Airlines for these purposes.
12. Enrich Members are advised to inform Malaysia Airlines in writing of any change in personal data. Communications sent to an Enrich Member will be deemed delivered if posted to the membership address on record with Enrich. Only the Enrich Member may change and/or request to change personal details and particulars in their record.
13. At the discretion of Enrich, the programme may cease to send updates and related material to any Enrich Member who has not already opted out from receiving such information.
14. Malaysia Airlines hereby declares that some personal data is mandatory for Enrich Members’s participation and failure to disclose such personal data may affect the provision of services or products an Enrich Member is entitled under the Enrich programme.
15. Notwithstanding the above, Malaysia Airlines reserves the right to disclose Enrich Members' personal data and information relating to its activities under the Enrich programme in circumstances where it is required by law or any agency having jurisdiction over us.
16. Any taxes, levies or duties incurred in connection with the accrual of Enrich Miles and use of Enrich Awards or programme benefits by an Enrich Member shall be the responsibility of and shall be borne by the Enrich Member or user of the Enrich Award or benefit, as the case may require.
17. If any provisions of these Terms and Conditions become invalid, illegal or unenforceable, such provision shall be ineffective to the extent of such invalidity, illegality or unenforceability and will not affect the other provisions.
18. Failure by Malaysia Airlines to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall not be construed as a waiver of its right to enforce the breach of such provision or any other provision in these Terms and Conditions or as a waiver of any continuing, succeeding or subsequent breach of any provision of these Terms and Conditions.
19.. It is the responsibility of the Enrich Member to keep themselves informed and updated on the rules of Enrich. Continued use of the programme by the Enrich Member will be deemed as acceptance of the current rules.
20. Malaysia Airlines reserves the right to interpret and apply the terms and conditions of the Enrich programme as it sees fit. All such determinations by Malaysia Airlines shall be final and conclusive in each case.
21. In accepting membership in Enrich, the said Enrich Member agrees to abide by the terms and conditions of the Enrich programme in its entirety. The Enrich Membership Card is the property of Enrich and must be forfeited upon request by Malaysia Airlines.
22. All information is correct at the time of publication and is subject to change without prior notice.
23. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.
