Masholidays And UCSI Host Korean Students For Edu-vacation Youth Progamme
Subang, 3 February 2012 – MASholidays, the travel and tour arm of Malaysia Airlines and partner UCSI University, on Wednesday, welcomed the arrival of 18 South Korean students at the K L International Airport (KLIA) who are participating in the Edu-Vacation Youth Programme.
The students from Dong Shin University, Seoul, will spend a month at the UCSI Kuala Lumpur campus in Cheras for their English Holiday Programme. The programme will include language classes, role-plays, games, accompanied by leisure activities like visits to Kuala Lumpur City and historical Melaka town.
This group of foreign students travelling Malaysia Airlines to Malaysia for the Edu-Vacation programme introduced by MASholidays together with three of UCSI Group’s subsidiary companies: the UCSI Professional Academy, the UCSI Extension in Sarawak and UCSI University of Terengganu, to promote leadership, English language skills and multiculturalism to youths.
The Edu-Vacation programme was introduced in July 2011 with the objective to promote Malaysian culture and put the nation on the map as a leading tourist and education destination worldwide. This two in one program provides unique combination of learning and travel.
The education package is an extension to MASholidays popular Malaysia Stopover packages as part of its continuous efforts to enhance offerings to customers through a series of niche packages. It is also aimed at promoting Malaysia to medium and long-haul markets like Europe, Australia/ New Zealand, Korea, Japan and ASEAN as visitors’ arrivals from these areas contribute greatly to the Tourism sector which is one of the 12 National Key Economic Areas of the government’s Economic Transformation Plan. This programme also contributes positively to reinforce the nation’s status globally as a leading tourist and education destination.
The Edu-Vacation Youth Programme is available for a small group of 5 which is ideal for family and also group of more than 10 persons for schools, colleges and universities.
