Malaysia Airlines Annual General Meeting 2014

“Only radical change will unlock Malaysia Airlines’ true potential”,says Malaysia Airlines CEO

  • All the foundations for the rebirth of Malaysia Airlines are there
  • With so much at stake for the airline and Malaysia, this cannot be a partial exercise
  • We cannot sacrifice the right outcome to a quick, short-term fix
  • The tragic loss of MH370 has created a critical point in our history for deep reflection

Kelana Jaya, 25th June 2014: Radical change was, and continues to be, firmly on the management agenda as the only means of unlocking the true potential of Malaysia’s national carrier. This was the key focus of Malaysia Airlines’ Group Chief Executive Officer, Ahmad Jauhari Yahya’s, presentation at the company’s Annual General Meeting held today in Kuala Lumpur.

Addressing shareholders, Ahmad Jauhari Yahya said: “Our only option at this point of our business evolution is radical or sweeping change. We have four real and tangible world-class assets: our product, our service, our engineering capabilities and our safety track record. To be competitive in the future, we have to unlock and unleash the full value of these great assets.”
