Malaysia Airlines Participates in Maybank Treats Fair 2011

KLIA, 20 July 2011 : Malaysia Airlines and its subsidiaries are set to treat the traveling public with exclusive air fare offers, holiday packages and travel related products at Maybank Treats Fair 2011 from 21 – 24 July 2011 at the Midvalley Exhibition Centre, Kuala Lumpur. These can be redeemed at the Fair only through Maybank Treats Points at the rate 200 Treat points for RM1, and also purchased through Maybankard credit cards at 0% Ezypay interest free installment plan.

Malaysia Airlines’ Executive Vice President Commercial Strategy, Dato Dr Amin Khan said, “We’re delighted to be a part of the biggest reward fair in Malaysia. There are good deals for our domestic and regional destinations during the four day carnival. For those who missed our earlier offers, this is yet another opportunity to plan for their next vacation and grab these offers and also enjoy a wide-diversity of travel services at our booth”.

The airfares, excluding taxes and other charges, start from as low as RM72 one way for domestic sectors and from RM98 one way for regional routes and are exclusively available during the Treats Fair duration only. Customers who are not able to be at the Fair can still avail these offers at, and on their mobile phones.

The travel period for these air fares is from 28 July 2011 to 31 May 2012 for regional routes and up to 31 December 2011 for domestic travel.

Meanwhile MASholidays, the travel and tour arm of the national carrier, is offering holiday packages to over 59 destinations on Malaysia Airlines' extensive network. These packages are inclusive of return economy class airfare, airport transfers (at selected destinations), accommodation and breakfast. With packages from as low as RM429 per person for 3days/2nights to Langkawi, RM581 for Kuching, customers will be spoilt for choice. Other interesting packages are the 3days/2nights to Phuket for RM884, Bangkok for RM1029 and Ho Chi Minh City for RM1257.

Malaysia Airlines’ subsidiary, MASWings will also showcase the offers for travel within East Malaysia while Firefly, yet another fast growing Malaysia Airlines’ subsidiary, is offering great deals to favourite destinations like Koh Samui, Langkawi, Terengganu, Kota Bahru, Penang, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Sandakan and Sibu.

Enrich, Malaysia Airlines Loyalty and Frequent Flyer programme will also be offering a special promotion. Every customer who signs up with Enrich will automatically be awarded 1,000 Enrich Miles at Malaysia Airlines booth in the Fair. In addition, GRADS, the frequent flyer card for students will enrol new members at a promotional fee of RM25.

During this event, Malaysia Airlines is also engaging customers with fun fill activities. Customers can look forward to iPad on the move, a new way to purchase ticket, ‘Catch it if you Scan’ promotion, a slogan writing contest on MHbuddy and a colouring contest. To keep the children entertained the national carrier has a special contest where the winner takes home a PDA daily from Malaysia Airlines’ Inflight shopping arm or even receive 2 complimentary tickets to Langkawi.
