Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer

He was appointed to MAS Board on 23, August 2004, then as Executive Director on 23, August 2005 and later as Executive Director/CFO on 1 February, 2006.

He was the Managing Director/ Chief Financial Officer of Penerbangan Malaysia Berhad (PMB) prior to that. Before PMB, he was with Pricewaterhousecoopers in their London and Hong Kong offices, where he was in the Audit and Business Advisory Services division, specialising in Banking and Capital Markets. While in Pricewaterhousecoopers, he was involved in a number of audit and advisory assignments involving risk management advisory, IPOs, structured transactions and derivatives products.

He graduated from the University of Cambridge with double first class honours in Economics. He is a Chartered Accountant and an associate members of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and also an associate of the Association of Corporate Treasurers, United Kingdom.
