Malaysia Airlines Distributes “Bubur Lambuk” In KLIA
Sepang, 17 July 2013: Malaysia Airlines, in yet another 'Malaysian Hospitality' initiative, today organized the cooking and distribution of ‘Bubur Lambok’ at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, to the airport authorities and agencies, business partners and stakeholders.
This ‘bubur lambuk’ project by Malaysia Airlines will be on-going for the rest of Ramadhan until the arrival of Syawal. Malaysia Airlines will distribute ‘Bubur Lambuk’ to all airport authority and agency personnels in various departments such as the Royal Customs, Immigration, Civil Aviation, Police, Health and Quarantine and JPA, working during the ‘breaking of fast’ shift.
The ‘Bubur Lambuk ala Malaysia Airlines’ has been a regular delicacy in the national airline’s Domestic Lounges in KLIA enjoyed by First, and Business class passengers as well as the airline’s Enrich Gold and Platinum members who patronize the lounge facilities during the Ramadan month.
Malaysia Airlines Group Chief Executive Officer, Ahmad Jauhari Yahya said, "It is also to be noted that July 1 2013 was the 1st anniversary of our A380 operations. With the entrance of the A380, the airports have become busier than ever. We have double daily flights into London, daily flights into Paris and also Hong Kong via the A380. This means the airport has to handle approximately 1976 passengers just for this fleet alone. An increase of more than 50% compared to the time before the A380. So far, other than factors that are beyond our control, things have been fairly smooth, few complaints and problems. It is surely commendable. This ‘bubur lambuk’ project is timely in our effort to extend our hospitality to our stakeholders from the Airport Authorities and Agencies based at KLIA," he added.
The A380 is Malaysia Airlines' flagship product and is being deployed to various destinations namely London, Paris and Hong Kong. Approximately 1900 passengers enjoy this state-of-art aircraft coupled with the Malaysia Airlines 5-star service on a daily basis. As the national carrier celebrates the first anniversary of the A380 into its fleet, the team wants to bring the glory of the A380 far and beyond across all boundaries.
The special 'bubur lambuk' is made with the recipe of Malaysia Airlines and is cooked by Brahim’s Airline Catering with an exclusive selection of beef and chicken.
Malaysia Airlines will be distributing 963 containers daily and a total of 21,186 containers throughout the programme over this holy month.
Malaysia Airlines has regularly organized staff and community initiatives in conjunction with national festive occasions.
