These extra and upgraded flights are expected to complement domestic and regional tourism activities as well as enable Malaysians to visit their friends and relatives during the holidays.

Malaysia Airlines will continue to monitor the demand and add more capacity on sectors where there is further demand.

Some must visit tourist places include the Phuket Seashell Museum for a fun yet educational experience. The museum is home to about 2,000 shell species from all over the world. Apart from the scenic beaches and activities like snorkeling and scuba diving, your kids can also enjoy various waterfall spots at Phuket.

At Kuching, children can be introduced to the rich cultures of Sarawak in the Sarawak Cultural Village. The splendid cultural show will only make them proud to be Malaysians. In Kota Kinabalu, the kids can be off for a little adventure at The Kiulu River white water rafting. Miri offers the Miri Reef which is one of Malaysia’s most recently discovered diving locations. In this patch of reefs is a variety of coral and marine life that rivals the best anywhere in Borneo.

If you're in to taste some delicious food, Kota Bahru is the place to go. Nasi berlauk, Nasi Dagang and Nasi Kerabu are popular local cuisine. Kelantanese also have a liking for sweet cakes or kuih. These include apom, akok, lompat tikam, netbak, pisang goreng, curry puff and much more.

Those flying to Alor Setar can do some shopping at Pekan Rabu. Although the name literally means “Wednesday Market”, this market is open all week long, and sells a variety of items from tidbits to beautiful handicraft. This is a popular spot amongst tourists and locals and is a source of pride for Kedahans.

Air travel bookings to these destinations can be made through all Malaysia Airlines’ distribution channels like www.malaysiaairlines.com, Malaysia Airlines ticketing offices, Malaysia Airlines Facebook, 24-hours toll free Call Centre at 1-300-88-3000 and all appointed travel agents in Malaysia.
