Self-service check-in

Besides the flexibility and convenience, our self-service check in options can be a great way for you to save time on your journey. The service is available to any e-ticket holder with a confirmed booking.

I’ve checked in using one of the options, so what’s next?

a. Without check-in baggage

  • Domestic - Head straight to the boarding gate.
  • Other destinations - Proceed to the Self Check-in Service Counter for verification of your travel documents no later than 60 minutes before departure.

b. With check-in baggage

  • All destinations - Bring along your printed or mobile boarding pass and travel documents to the MAS Check-in/Bag Drop Counter no later than 60 minutes before departure.

For travel to Sabah and Sarawak, please bring your valid passport, MyKad, MyKid or Birth Certificate (for children below 12 years old). For travel to regional and international destinations, please bring your valid passport (minimum 6 months validity) and visa, if required.

Our fast and simple web check-in facility enables you to check in online, select your preferred seat and print your boarding pass conveniently from your home or office. You can also use it to update your Enrich number. Available for groups of up to 9 guests.

  • Open from 48 hours and up to 90 minutes before departure.
  • Not applicable for check-in from Brunei, Dubai, Kunming, Los Angeles, Xiamen, Kathmandu; Kuala Lumpur-Los Angeles, Tokyo-Los Angeles sectors; and codeshare flights operated by partner carrier.
Web-to-mobile

Overview
Web-to-mobile lets you go paperless and have someone else, such as your secretary, check in online for you and send your boarding pass to your mobile phone. Bring your mobile phone to the airport and retrieve the 2D barcode mobile boarding pass. The barcode can be scanned at airport security checkpoints and at the gate during boarding.

  • All flights from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore

MHmobile

Overview
Visit flymas.mobi on your mobile phone browser and check in on the go with MHmobile. You’ll receive your boarding pass on your mobile through a link via SMS and email. The mobile boarding pass will contain a 2D barcode which can be scanned at airport security checkpoints and at the gate during boarding.

Please note that only one boarding pass per mobile phone is issued as boarding takes place one passenger at a time. It is also applicable for single passenger bookings only (one passenger per reservation).

FastCheck Kiosk

Overview
Our FastCheck self-service kiosk lets you check in, choose your preferred seat and print your boarding pass on the spot at the airport.

Allowing you to check in with a few simple steps for up to 9 passengers per booking, the kiosks are currently available at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Kuching International Airport and Kota Kinabalu International Airport.

48 hours up to 40 minutes before departure for domestic flights.
48 hours up to 60 minutes before departure for international flights.

Applicable flights

Available for all flights except to Los Angeles.

MHkiosk

Overview
Tap and check in using our iPad kiosks. You’ll receive your boarding pass on your mobile phone through a link via SMS and email. The mobile boarding pass will contain a 2D barcode which can be scanned at airport security checkpoints and at the gate during boarding.

Please note that only one boarding pass per mobile phone is issued as boarding takes place one passenger at a time. Applicable for single passenger bookings only (one passenger per reservation), MHkiosk is currently available at the Malaysia Airlines Ticket Office, Kuala Lumpur City Air Terminal, Kuala Lumpur Sentral Station.
