Course Description
Level 2 Flight Operations Management teaches students the workflow processes and protocols of an international Airline Operations Centre (AOC). Students learn about the specific duties and responsibilities of the Flight Operations Officer/Flight Dispatcher and become candidates for a DCA Malaysia Dispatcher License. Students graduate with an in-depth knowledge of commercial aviation dispatch procedures, work rules, and local and international regulations. Level 2 Flight Operations Management meets ICAO Level 3 expertise criteria set forth in the ICAO Training Manual for Flight Operations Officers and Dispatchers. This course is also JAA compliant and the syllabus is FAA approved in the United States.
Course Content
Level 2 Flight Operations Management course teaches students the theoretical and applied knowledge required to take the DCA Malaysia written and practical Dispatcher License tests. In addition to the knowledge requirements specified by the dispatcher's License criteria, students also learn about the specific duties and responsibilities of the dispatcher with an in-depth knowledge of commercial aviation dispatch procedures, work rules, local and international regulations, and the use of sophisticated electronic flight planning systems and weather software.
Who Should Attend
AOC staff who wish to advance to the position of a flight operations officer; individuals and new hires who wish to obtain advanced education, training and a DCA Malaysia Dispatcher License. To attend this course, students must have graduated from the Flight Operations Management, Level 1 Course. Graduates of the Level 1 course are given preferential class assignments and are entitled to a $500 credit toward the Level 2 Tuition.
NOTE: Some students may be required to take the Flight Operations Language Lab prior to enrolling in Level 2 training if their English skills do not meet entrance requirements.
What You Gain
Successful graduates will receive a DCA Malaysia Dispatcher License; a comprehensive package of training and reference materials; charts, maps, and navigational information; and a graduation certificate from Jeppesen Academy and Malaysia Airlines Academy.
