Baggage Fees
Your free baggage allowance depends on the conditions stated on your ticket. Beyond that, excess baggage or special baggage requirements will incur a separate charge, which differs based on your travel route.
1. Weight System - All destinations except to and from USA
a) Standard baggage allowance
The table below states the maximum weight of the checked baggage that you can take with you free of charge.

A charge at the appropriate journey rate per kilogram will apply for any baggage carried in excess of the free baggage allowance as above.
b) Excess baggage charges for international travel on Weight System
The excess baggage charges vary according to the destination or sector you are travelling to. The charge is 1.5% of the highest normal direct one-way Economy Class (in local currency) for each kilogram in excess of the free allowance.
Exceptions:
- 1% from Austria, Bulgaria, Israel; from Australia, New Zealand (except 1.5% from Australia, New Zealand to South West Pacific); from Europe, Middle East to Australia, New Zealand.
- 1.35% within Europe (except 1% from Austria, Bulgaria, Finland).
c) Excess baggage charges for Malaysian domestic travel on Weight System

2. Piece System for travel to and from USA

Any piece with a three-dimensional size exceeding 203 cm (80 inches) and/or a weight exceeding 32 kg (70 lbs) may be refused for carriage, unless an advance request has been made and approved in the Passenger Name Record (PNR) or booking reference number. For Economy Class, any baggage weighing over 23 kg (50 lbs) and up to 32 kg (lbs) will be charged USD 25/CAD 25 per piece for the first two pieces.
When a passenger has an excess of the two pieces allowed free baggage allowance within limitations (in dimension and weight for class of travel), the charge is 100% or single charge of published rate.

Seat Selection
With Favourite Spot, Economy Class customers have the option of selecting their preferred seat in advance for a nominal fee. This seat selection facility may be done during online booking or through Manage My Booking. However, you can still select your seat for free 48 hours before departure with web check-in.

Supplemental Oxygen
MEDA Oxygen Kit Charges
A service fee is chargeable if you request for a medical oxygen kit for the following routes:

MEDA Oxygen Kit Charges in the United Kingdom
A service fee is chargeable if you request for a medical oxygen kit for non-continuous use onboard on journeys departing from United Kingdom. The charges are as follows:

Note
If the request for stopover is made outside United Kingdom for travel ex-UK, the oxygen kit will be requested and the payment will be collected outside the UK at the point where the stopover was made.
