Despite newly built skyscrapers that competing to become the tallest in the world, the Petronas Twin Towers still holds the record as the tallest twin freestanding towers. Joining the twin towers is a skybridge on the 41st and 42nd floors. One can walk across the bridge and admire a breathtaking panorama of KL from a height of 170 metres above the ground. Next to the twin towers is the Aquaria KLCC, an aquarium featuring 5000 aquatic and marine animal exhibits of 150 different species from Malaysia and around the world. Themed around the world’s major rainforests of Malaysia and the Amazon basin, Aquaria KLCC features species such as Sand Tiger Sharks, monkey-eating catfish and an endangered fresh water tortoise.
