Malaysia Airlines Celebrate Merdeka Raya Showtime at KLIA
Sepang, 09 September 2012 : Malaysia Airlines recently engaged travellers at KL International Airport (KLIA) in its unique Merdeka Raya Showtime 2012 to celebrate Hari Raya Puasa, Merdeka Day and Hari Malaysia.
This was organised by the national carrier in the spirit of 1Malaysia where it celebrates main Malaysian festivities with its guests at its home base in KLIA.
This programme is the brain-child of Malaysia Airlines' Customer Experience Management Department and it was led by Malaysia Airlines, Director of Customer Services, Dato' Mohd Salleh Ahmad Tabrani and Malaysia Airlines, Senior Vice President Customer Services, S Pushpalata.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dato Salleh said “To reflect the spirit of 1Malaysia, we engage our customers in our celebration of the main festivals of Malaysia. We also take this opportunity to showcase the diversity of Malaysia’s population, its rich cultures and traditions that co-exist and thrive peacefully”.
For Merdeka Raya 2012, the Showtime featured several highlights amongst others a cultural musical show by Malaysia Airlines’ staff and their children with live music. The dance troupe performed spontaneously at the international and domestic departure areas, the KLIA Satellite building and at the Malaysia Airlines Golden Lounges.
The top management of Malaysia Airlines joined in and distributed festive delicacies like Kuih Bahulu and Dodol to travelers at the airport. They also gave away Malaysia Flags to commemorate our Merdeka day and forthcoming Malaysia Day on 16 September 2012.
Malaysia Airlines Show Time 2012 is a series of events that focus on festive celebration such as Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Merdeka, Deepavali, Christmas and New Year. The initiative is to extend its trademark Malaysian Hospitality to travellers at KL International Airport.
